“ Go and consecrate the people. Tell them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow, for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.

起、使民自潔、諭之曰、自潔以備明日、蓋以色列之上帝耶和華云、以色列歟、爾中匿有當滅之物、非先除之、不能禦敵、

盍起、成聖斯民、使潔己身、以待明晨、將我命傳眾曰、以色列族與、有獻我之物、藏於爾間、未出斯物、爾不能禦敵。

爾起、使民自潔、諭之曰、明日當自潔、蓋主以色列之天主如是云、以色列人、爾中有擅取歸我物之罪、故爾未除此罪、不能禦敵、

“ Go, consecrate the people. Tell them,‘ Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are devoted things among you, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove them.

“ Go and set the people apart. Tell them,‘ Make yourselves pure. Get ready for tomorrow. Here is what the Lord, the God of Israel, wants you to do. He says,“ People of Israel, you have kept some of the things that had been set apart to me to be destroyed. You can’t stand up against your enemies until you get rid of those things.”

Get up! Consecrate the people and say,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the Lord, God of Israel,“ There are devoted things in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted things from among you.”

“ Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the Lord. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.

“ Go and consecrate the people. Tell them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow, for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.

Stand up! Consecrate the people and say,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord, the God of Israel, has said this:“ There are things designated for destruction in your midst, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you have removed the designated things from your midst.”

Get up, sanctify the people, and say,‘ sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel:“ There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thing in the midst of thee, O Israel; thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the devoted thing from among you.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel,[ There is] an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Get up! Ritually consecrate the people and tell them this:‘ Ritually consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the LORD God of Israel says,“ You are contaminated, O Israel! You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove what is contaminating you.”

Get up! Sanctify the people, and say,‘ Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,“ There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

Joshua told the people,“ Consecrate yourselves, because the Lord will do wonders among you tomorrow.”

Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer who is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or verbally abusive, a drunkard or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Don’t you judge those who are inside?But God judges outsiders. Put away the evil person from among yourselves.

Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord.Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven:

But keep yourselves from the things set apart, or you will be set apart for destruction. If you take any of those things, you will set apart the camp of Israel for destruction and bring disaster on it.

And the Lord told Moses,“ Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. They must wash their clothesand be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.Put boundaries for the people all around the mountain and say: Be careful that you don’t go up on the mountain or touch its base. Anyone who touches the mountain will be put to death.No hand may touch him; instead he will be stoned or shot with arrows. No animal or man will live. When the ram’s horn sounds a long blast, they may go up the mountain.”Then Moses came down from the mountain to the people and consecrated them, and they washed their clothes.He said to the people,“ Be prepared by the third day. Do not have sexual relations with women.”

Gather the people; sanctify the congregation; assemble the aged; gather the children, even those nursing at the breast. Let the groom leave his bedroom, and the bride her honeymoon chamber.Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say:“ Have pity on Your people, Lord, and do not make Your inheritance a disgrace, an object of scorn among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’”

Now you plan to reduce the people of Judah and Jerusalem, male and female, to slavery. Are you not also guilty before Yahweh your God?

It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and the kind of sexual immorality that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles— a man is living with his father’s wife.And you are inflated with pride, instead of filled with grief so that he who has committed this act might be removed from your congregation.For though I am absent in body but present in spirit, I have already decided about the one who has done this thing as though I were present.When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus with my spirit and with the power of our Lord Jesus,turn that one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord.Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough?

Gather yourselves together; gather together, undesirable nation,before the decree takes effect and the day passes like chaff, before the burning of the Lord’s anger overtakes you, before the day of the Lord’s anger overtakes you.

Israel has sinned. They have violated My covenant that I appointed for them. They have taken some of what was set apart. They have stolen, deceived, and put the things with their own belongings.
