起來吧！去吩咐民眾潔淨自己，讓他們為明天潔淨自己，因為以色列的上帝耶和華這樣說，『以色列啊！你們中間有本該毀滅的東西，你們不除掉這些東西就無法抵擋敵人。

你起来，叫百姓自洁，对他们说：‘你们要自洁，预备明天，因为耶和华以色列的神这样说：以色列啊，你们中间有当灭的物，你们若不除掉，在仇敌面前必站立不住！’

你起来，去叫百姓分别为圣，说：‘你们要为了明天使自己分别为圣，因为耶和华—以色列的上帝这样说：以色列啊，在你中间有当灭的物；你们若不把你们中间当灭之物除掉，你在仇敌面前必站立不住！’

起、使民自潔、諭之曰、自潔以備明日、蓋以色列之上帝耶和華云、以色列歟、爾中匿有當滅之物、非先除之、不能禦敵、

盍起、成聖斯民、使潔己身、以待明晨、將我命傳眾曰、以色列族與、有獻我之物、藏於爾間、未出斯物、爾不能禦敵。

爾起、使民自潔、諭之曰、明日當自潔、蓋主以色列之天主如是云、以色列人、爾中有擅取歸我物之罪、故爾未除此罪、不能禦敵、

“ Go, consecrate the people. Tell them,‘ Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are devoted things among you, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove them.

“ Go and set the people apart. Tell them,‘ Make yourselves pure. Get ready for tomorrow. Here is what the Lord, the God of Israel, wants you to do. He says,“ People of Israel, you have kept some of the things that had been set apart to me to be destroyed. You can’t stand up against your enemies until you get rid of those things.”

Get up! Consecrate the people and say,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the Lord, God of Israel,“ There are devoted things in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted things from among you.”

“ Get up! Command the people to purify themselves in preparation for tomorrow. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Hidden among you, O Israel, are things set apart for the Lord. You will never defeat your enemies until you remove these things from among you.

“ Go and consecrate the people. Tell them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow, for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.

Stand up! Consecrate the people and say,‘ Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord, the God of Israel, has said this:“ There are things designated for destruction in your midst, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you have removed the designated things from your midst.”

Get up, sanctify the people, and say,‘ sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel:“ There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you.”

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, There is a devoted thing in the midst of thee, O Israel; thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the devoted thing from among you.

“ Go and consecrate the people. Tell them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow, for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel,[ There is] an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Get up! Ritually consecrate the people and tell them this:‘ Ritually consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the LORD God of Israel says,“ You are contaminated, O Israel! You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove what is contaminating you.”

Get up! Sanctify the people, and say,‘ Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,“ There is a devoted thing among you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you.”

約書亞又對民眾說：「你們要潔淨自己，因為明天耶和華要在你們當中行奇事。」

你這偽君子啊！要先除掉自己眼中的大樑，才能看得清楚，好清除弟兄眼中的小刺。

我的意思是，若有人自稱是信徒，卻淫亂、貪婪、祭拜偶像、毀謗、酗酒、欺詐，你們不要和他們交往，甚至不要和他們一起吃飯。我何必去審判教會以外的人呢？然而，教會裡面的人豈不是該由你們審判嗎？上帝自會審判教會以外的人，你們要把那邪惡的人從你們當中趕出去。

我們要省察自己的行為，重新歸向耶和華。讓我們舉起雙手，誠心向天上的上帝禱告說：

你們要小心，不可私拿任何應當毀滅的東西，免得你們自取滅亡，並給以色列全營帶來災禍。

耶和華對摩西說：「你現在回到他們那裡，吩咐他們今天和明天要潔淨自己，洗淨衣服，到後天都要預備好，因為這一天耶和華要在百姓眼前降臨在西奈山上。此外，你要在山的四圍劃定界線，吩咐百姓不得上山或碰到界線，違例者死。你們不可用手觸摸違例者，要用石頭打死他或用箭射死他，牲畜也不例外。百姓要一直等到聽見角聲長鳴才可上山。」於是，摩西下山回到百姓那裡，吩咐他們各人潔淨自己，洗淨衣服。又吩咐他們說：「到後天一切都要準備好，這期間你們不可親近女人。」

要招聚老人，聚集孩童，包括吃奶的嬰兒；要吩咐新郎出洞房、新娘出內室；要召集全體人民，讓他們潔淨自己。讓事奉耶和華的祭司站在聖殿門廊和祭壇中間，哭泣懇求說：「耶和華啊，求你顧惜你的子民，不要讓外族人侮辱、譏笑你的產業說，『你們的上帝在哪裡呢？』」

現在你們竟還想讓猶大和耶路撒冷的男女做你們的僕俾。你們豈不也得罪你們的上帝耶和華嗎？

我聽說在你們當中竟有人與繼母亂倫。這種淫亂的事，就是連異教徒都做不出來。你們竟然還自高自大！難道你們不該痛心，把做這事的人從你們當中趕出去嗎？現在，我雖然身在遠方，心卻在你們那裡。我已經審判了做這事的人，就像親自在場一樣。你們奉我們主耶穌的名聚會時，我的心並我們主耶穌的權能也與你們同在。你們要把這人交給撒旦去毀壞他的肉體，好使這人的靈魂在主耶穌再來的日子可以得救。你們自誇不是好事，豈不知小小的一點麵酵，足以使整團麵發起來嗎？

不知羞恥的國民啊，趁命令尚未發出、日子尚未如風中的糠疾飛而去、耶和華的烈怒尚未臨到你們、祂向你們發怒的日子尚未來臨，要聚集，聚集起來！

以色列人犯了罪，違背了我吩咐他們應守的約，偷拿了本該毀滅的東西放在自己的行囊裡，還撒謊。
