那時約書亞將起誓作警告說：『凡起來重建這城、這耶利哥的、那人必在永恆主面前受咒詛：他立根基時必喪長子；他安門時必喪幼子。』

時、約書亞以誓戒眾曰、起而重建耶利哥城者、必服詛於耶和華、築基時、必喪長子、置門時、必喪季子、

於是約書亞誓曰、凡建耶利哥、當服詛於耶和華前、築基時、必喪長子、置門時、必喪季子。

At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:“ Cursed before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:“ At the cost of his firstborn son he will lay its foundations; at the cost of his youngest he will set up its gates.”

At that time Joshua made a promise and called down a curse. He said,“ May the person who tries to rebuild this city of Jericho be under the Lord’ s curse.“ If that person lays its foundations, it will cost the life of his oldest son. If he sets up its gates, it will cost the life of his youngest son.”

Joshua laid an oath on them at that time, saying,“ Cursed before the Lord be the man who rises up and rebuilds this city, Jericho.“ At the cost of his firstborn shall he lay its foundation, and at the cost of his youngest son shall he set up its gates.”

At that time Joshua invoked this curse:“ May the curse of the Lord fall on anyone who tries to rebuild the town of Jericho. At the cost of his firstborn son, he will lay its foundation. At the cost of his youngest son, he will set up its gates.”

At that time Joshua imposed this curse: The man who undertakes the rebuilding of this city, Jericho, is cursed before the LORD. He will lay its foundation at the cost of his firstborn; he will finish its gates at the cost of his youngest.

Then Joshua made them take an oath at that time, saying,“ Cursed before the Lord is the man who rises up and builds this city Jericho; with the loss of his firstborn he will lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up its gates.”

Then Joshua charged them at that time, saying,“ Cursed be the man before the Lord who rises up and builds this city Jericho; he shall lay its foundation with his firstborn, and with his youngest he shall set up its gates.”

And Joshua charged them with an oath at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before Jehovah, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: with the loss of his first- born shall he lay the foundation thereof, and with the loss of his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

At that time Joshua imposed this curse: The man who undertakes the rebuilding of this city, Jericho, is cursed before the Lord. He will lay its foundation at the cost of his firstborn; he will set up its gates at the cost of his youngest.

And Joshua adjured[ them] at that time, saying, Cursed[ be] the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest[ son] shall he set up the gates of it.

At that time Joshua made this solemn declaration:“ The man who attempts to rebuild this city of Jericho will stand condemned before the LORD. He will lose his firstborn son when he lays its foundations and his youngest son when he erects its gates!”

Joshua commanded them with an oath at that time, saying,“ Cursed is the man before Yahweh who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn he will lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up its gates.”

亚哈在位的时候，有伯特利人希伊勒重修耶利哥城；立根基的时候，丧了长子亚比兰；安门的时候，丧了幼子西割，正如耶和华藉嫩的儿子约书亚所说的话。

以东人说：“我们现在虽被毁坏，却要重建荒废之处。”万军之耶和华如此说：“任他们建造，我必拆毁；人必称他们的地为‘罪恶之境’；称他们的民为‘耶和华永远恼怒之民’。”

耶稣却不言语。大祭司对他说：“我指着永生神叫你起誓告诉我们，你是神的儿子基督不是？”

那时，有几个游行各处、念咒赶鬼的犹太人，向那被恶鬼附的人擅自称主耶稣的名，说：“我奉保罗所传的耶稣敕令你们出来！”

要叫妇人起誓，对她说：‘若没有人与你行淫，也未曾背着丈夫做污秽的事，你就免受这致咒诅苦水的灾。你若背着丈夫行了污秽的事，在你丈夫以外有人与你行淫，（祭司叫妇人发咒起誓，）愿耶和华叫你大腿消瘦，肚腹发胀，使你在你民中被人咒诅，成了誓语；

扫罗叫百姓起誓说，凡不等到晚上向敌人报完了仇吃什么的，必受咒诅。因此这日百姓没有吃什么，就极其困惫。众民进入树林，见有蜜在地上。他们进了树林，见有蜜流下来，却没有人敢用手取蜜入口，因为他们怕那誓言。约拿单没有听见他父亲叫百姓起誓，所以伸手中的杖，用杖头蘸在蜂房里，转手送入口内，眼睛就明亮了。百姓中有一人对他说：“你父亲曾叫百姓严严地起誓说，今日吃什么的，必受咒诅；因此百姓就疲乏了。”约拿单说：“我父亲连累你们了。你看，我尝了这一点蜜，眼睛就明亮了。今日百姓若任意吃了从仇敌所夺的物，击杀的非利士人岂不更多吗？”这日，以色列人击杀非利士人，从密抹直到亚雅仑。百姓甚是疲乏，就急忙将所夺的牛羊和牛犊宰于地上，肉还带血就吃了。有人告诉扫罗说：“百姓吃带血的肉，得罪耶和华了。”扫罗说：“你们有罪了，今日要将大石头滚到我这里来。”扫罗又说：“你们散在百姓中，对他们说，你们各人将牛羊牵到我这里来宰了吃，不可吃带血的肉得罪耶和华。”这夜，百姓就把牛羊牵到那里宰了。扫罗为耶和华筑了一座坛，这是他初次为耶和华筑的坛。扫罗说：“我们不如夜里下去追赶非利士人，抢掠他们，直到天亮，不留他们一人。”众民说：“你看怎样好就去行吧！”祭司说：“我们先当亲近神。”扫罗求问神说：“我下去追赶非利士人可以不可以？你将他们交在以色列人手里不交？”这日神没有回答他。扫罗说：“你们百姓中的长老都上这里来，查明今日是谁犯了罪。我指着救以色列永生的耶和华起誓，就是我儿子约拿单犯了罪，他也必死。”但百姓中无一人回答他。扫罗就对以色列众人说：“你们站在一边，我与我儿子约拿单也站在一边。”百姓对扫罗说：“你看怎样好就去行吧！”扫罗祷告耶和华以色列的神说：“求你指示实情。”于是掣签掣出扫罗和约拿单来；百姓尽都无事。扫罗说：“你们再掣签，看是我，是我儿子约拿单”，就掣出约拿单来。扫罗对约拿单说：“你告诉我，你做了什么事？”约拿单说：“我实在以手里的杖，用杖头蘸了一点蜜尝了一尝。这样我就死吗？”扫罗说：“约拿单哪，你定要死！若不然，愿神重重地降罚与我。”百姓对扫罗说：“约拿单在以色列人中这样大行拯救，岂可使他死呢？断乎不可！我们指着永生的耶和华起誓，连他的一根头发也不可落地，因为他今日与神一同做事。”于是百姓救约拿单免了死亡。扫罗回去，不追赶非利士人；非利士人也回本地去了。

王对他说：“我当嘱咐你几次，你才奉耶和华的名向我说实话呢？”
