妓女喇合因着信，曾和和平平地接待探子，就不与那些不顺从的人一同灭亡。

撒门从喇合氏生波阿斯；波阿斯从路得氏生俄备得；俄备得生耶西；

妓女喇合接待使者，又放他们从别的路上出去，不也是一样因行为称义吗？

先是女人领二人上了房顶，将他们藏在那里所摆的麻秸中。）

到那时候，凡求告主名的，就必得救。’

窥探的人看见一个人从城里出来，就对他说：“求你将进城的路指示我们，我们必恩待你。”那人将进城的路指示他们，他们就用刀击杀了城中的居民，但将那人和他全家放去。

除了基遍的希未人之外，没有一城与以色列人讲和的，都是以色列人争战夺来的。因为耶和华的意思是要使他们心里刚硬，来与以色列人争战，好叫他们尽被杀灭，不蒙怜悯，正如耶和华所吩咐摩西的。

约书亚另把十二块石头立在约旦河中，在抬约柜的祭司脚站立的地方；直到今日，那石头还在那里。
