妓喇合有信、接偵者以平康、故不與不信者偕亡、

撒門娶喇合氏生波士、波士娶路得氏生阿伯、阿伯生耶西、

妓喇合納使者、示以他途而歸、非以行明義乎、

蓋喇合引二人至屋上、有胡麻梗臚陳於彼、即藏其中。

凡籲主名者、必得救也、

偵者見人由邑出、謂之曰、是邑何由而入、請爾指示、我將矜恤爾。其人乃告以入邑之所、於是約瑟族擊其邑滅之、惟指示之人全家得釋。

自希未人基遍民而外、與以色列族修好者、無一邑焉、俱戰而得之。蓋斯眾剛愎厥心、耶和華聽其然、使與以色列族戰、而被翦滅、無少姑縱、循耶和華諭摩西之命。○

約書亞又置石十二於約但河中、舁法匱之祭司足所履之處、迄今尚存。
