因为所有从埃及出来的人民都受过割礼；唯有从埃及出来以后，所有在旷野的路上出生的人民，都没有受过割礼。

如果你们明白‘我喜爱怜悯，不喜爱祭祀’这句话的意思，就不会把无罪的定罪了。

因为在基督耶稣里，受割礼或不受割礼，都没有用处，唯有那藉着爱表达出来的信，才有用处。

这样，没有受割礼的人，如果遵守律法所规定的，他虽然没有受过割礼，不也算是受过割礼的吗？

受割礼或不受割礼，都算不得什么，要紧的是作新造的人。
