If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will turn and bring disaster on you and make an end of you, after he has been good to you.”

Suppose you desert the Lord. Suppose you serve the gods that people in other lands serve. If you do, he will turn against you. He will bring trouble on you. He will destroy you, even though he has been good to you.”

要知道，我们领受了真理的知识以后，如果还故意犯罪，就不再有赎罪的祭物被保留下来；只保留了对审判的可怕等待，和那将要吞灭敌对者的嫉恨之火。

神就转身不顾，任凭他们去事奉天上的万象，正如先知书上所记载的：‘以色列家呀！你们在旷野的四十年里献上的牺牲和祭物，难道是给我的吗？

然而他们悖逆，使他的圣灵忧伤；他就转成他们的仇敌，亲自与他们争战。

但叛逆者和罪人必一同败亡，离弃耶和华的必将灭绝。

至于你们这些离弃耶和华、忘记我的圣山、为‘幸运之神’摆设筵席、为‘命运之神’倒满混合酒的人，我命定你们归于刀剑，你们所有的人都将在屠杀中倒下。因为我呼唤，你们不回应；我说话，你们不听从；你们做我眼中看为恶的事，选择我所不喜悦的事。”

我的义人将因信而活；如果他退缩，我的心就不喜悦他。”
