Joshua is the one who will cross ahead of you, as the LORD has said.The LORD will deal with them as he did Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and their land when he destroyed them.The LORD will deliver them over to you, and you must do to them exactly as I have commanded you.

Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people.

The LORD your God will drive out these nations before you little by little. The Reubenites, Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh left the Israelites at Shiloh in the land of Canaan to return to their own land of Gilead, which they took possession of according to the LORD’s command through Moses.
