stay in this land as an alien, and I will be with you and bless you. and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the territory of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

The LORD was standing there beside him, saying,“ I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your offspring the land on which you are lying.Your offspring will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out toward the west, the east, the north, and the south. All the peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

“ When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, take possession of it, live in it, and say,‘ I will set a king over me like all the nations around me,’

The LORD appeared to Abram and said,“ To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him.

The LORD then said to him,“ This is the land I promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you will not cross into it.”
