天使对罗得说：“你还有什么亲人住在这里？你要带儿女、女婿和城里其他亲人离开这里，因为我们就要毁灭这城了。耶和华已经听见控诉这罪恶之城的声音，祂差遣我们来毁灭这城。”罗得听了就去通知他女儿的未婚夫说：“快走吧！耶和华要毁灭这城了！”可是他们却以为他是在开玩笑。天刚亮的时候，天使便催促罗得说：“起来，带着你的妻子和两个女儿离开，免得所多玛城因罪恶受惩罚的时候，你也一起被毁灭。”罗得却犹疑不决，天使便拉着罗得及其妻子和两个女儿的手出去，将他们安置在城外，因为耶和华怜悯他们。到了城外，其中一位天使说：“赶快逃！不要回头看，也不要留在平原，要往山上逃，免得你们被毁灭。”

耶和华对挪亚说：“你和你一家都进入方舟，因为这个世代只有你在我眼中是义人。

喇合答道：“一言为定！”于是她送走他们，把朱红色的绳子系在窗户上。

我既然恩待了你们，现在请你们凭耶和华向我起誓，你们也照样恩待我家，并且给我一个可靠的凭据，保证让我的父母、兄弟、姐妹和他们所有的亲人免于一死。”

彼得和他边走边谈，进屋后，见聚集了许多人，

他有话告诉你，能使你和你的全家得救。’

我怎能忍心看我本族的人受害？我怎能忍心看我的亲族被杀？”

于是我立刻派人去请你。你能来，真是荣幸，现在我们都在上帝面前，想聆听主吩咐你传给我们的话。”

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱红色线扔进烧牛的火里。

我必使你成为大国，我必赐福给你，使你声名远播。你必成为别人的祝福。

要吩咐人为他拿来两只洁净的鸟、香柏木、朱红色线和牛膝草。
