The men said to her,“ We are not bound by this oath you made us swear unless the following conditions are met:

二人對她說：「要讓我們信守誓言，你必須這樣做，

他們二人對她說：“如果你不遵照我們的話行，你叫我們起的誓就與我們無關了。

二人就對她說：『以下這幾件事你總要行，不然、你叫我們起的誓就與我們無干了。

二人曰、爾使我所發之誓、我必守之而無咎、

二人曰、爾既用絳索以縋我、必以此索、仍繫於牖、集爾父母兄弟戚屬、至於斯室、厥後我儕至斯土、則爾使我所發之誓、我必恪守。

二人對曰、爾使我所發之誓、我必守之而不失信、

Now the men had said to her,“ This oath you made us swear will not be binding on us

The spies had said to her,“ You made us give our word. But we won’t keep our promise

The men said to her,“ We will be guiltless with respect to this oath of yours that you have made us swear.

Before they left, the men told her,“ We will be bound by the oath we have taken only if you follow these instructions.

The men said to her,“ We will be free from this oath you made us swear,

And the men said to her,“ We shall be exempt from this oath to you which you have made us swear,

So the men said to her:“ We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear,

And the men said unto her, We will be guiltless of this thine oath which thou hast made us to swear.

The men said to her,“ We will be free from this oath you made us swear,

And the men said unto her, We[ will be] blameless of this thine oath which thou hast made us swear.

The men said to her,“ We will be guiltless of this your oath which you’ve made us to swear.

“‘ You must not steal, you must not tell lies, and you must not deal falsely with your fellow citizen.You must not swear falsely in my name, so that you do not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD.

If a man makes a vow to the LORD or takes an oath of binding obligation on himself, he must not break his word, but must do whatever he has promised.

The king had mercy on Mephibosheth son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, in light of the LORD’s oath that had been taken between David and Jonathan son of Saul.

During David’s reign there was a famine for three consecutive years. So David inquired of the LORD. The LORD said,“ It is because of Saul and his bloodstained family, because he murdered the Gibeonites.”So the king summoned the Gibeonites and spoke with them.( Now the Gibeonites were not descendants of Israel; they were a remnant of the Amorites. The Israelites had made a promise to them, but Saul tried to kill them because of his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah.)

If you should report what we’ve been up to, we are not bound by this oath you made us swear.”

“ You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold guiltless anyone who takes his name in vain.

so that I may make you solemnly promise by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth: You must not acquire a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living.You must go instead to my country and to my relatives to find a wife for my son Isaac.”The servant asked him,“ What if the woman is not willing to come back with me to this land? Must I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”“ Be careful never to take my son back there!” Abraham told him.“ The LORD, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and the land of my relatives, promised me with a solemn oath,‘ To your descendants I will give this land.’ He will send his angel before you so that you may find a wife for my son from there.But if the woman is not willing to come back with you, you will be free from this oath of mine. But you must not take my son back there!”
