將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨埋葬在便雅憫地的洗拉、在掃羅父親基士的墳墓裏。眾人行了王所吩咐的；此後上帝就應允了那地所懇求的。

那界線又上欣嫩子平谷、到耶布斯的南阪坡（耶布斯就是耶路撒冷）；界線又上西邊欣嫩平谷東面的山頂，就在利乏音山谷北面的儘邊；

撒母耳就起身，從吉甲上去，走他的路，其餘的眾民都跟着掃羅上去迎接戰士；他們從吉甲來到便雅憫的基比亞。掃羅點閱所有跟隨他的、約有六百人。掃羅和他的兒子約拿單並所有跟隨他的眾兵都住在迦巴在便雅憫境內；非利士人乃是在密抹紮營。

掃羅也往基比亞家裏去；跟從他去的有一些有才德的人、心被上帝觸動着的。

他們過了隘口，在迦巴露營；拉瑪人發顫，掃羅的基比亞人逃走。

以色列啊，從基比亞的日子以來、你就時常犯罪了。以色列人仍然在那裏停留着；難道戰禍就不能在基比亞趕上他們麼？對驕橫之輩

主人對他說：『我們不可轉到這些不是以色列人住的外族人之城裏；我們必須過去到基比亞那邊。』；主人又對他的僮僕說：『來吧，這些地方我們總要走近一處，或是在基比亞、或是在拉瑪過夜。』他們就走着走着過去；將近到屬便雅憫的基比亞，日已經趕着他們落了。他們便轉身，要進基比亞去過夜；他們去就坐在城內的廣場上，也沒有人接他們到家裏去過夜。

人多的、你要把產業多分給它，人少的、你要把產業少分給它；要照被點閱的人數、把產業分給各家族。

那「利未人」、那被殺害的婦人的丈夫、回答說：『我和我的妾到了便雅憫的基比亞去過夜。基比亞的公民起來攻打我，趁夜圍了我住的房子；想要殺我；他們將我的妾強姦致死。

又下到欣嫩子平谷東面之山的儘邊，就是利乏音山谷北邊的山；又下欣嫩平谷、到耶布斯人的阪坡南邊，再下隱羅結；

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人、猶大人卻不能把他們趕出；耶布斯人就和猶大人同住在耶路撒冷、直到今日。

你們要按家族憑拈鬮承受那地以為業；人多的、要把產業多分給他們，人少的、要把產業少分給他們；拈出哪一塊地給哪一族，就要歸哪一族；你們要按父系支派而承受產業。

那一天大衛就說：『誰攻擊耶布斯人、到達水溝去擊打大衛心所恨惡的瘸子瞎子，誰就可以得到重賞。』因此有命令說：瞎眼的瘸腿的不得進聖殿。
