From there the border went toward Luz, to the southern slope of Luz( that is, Bethel); it then went down by Ataroth-addar, over the hill south of Lower Beth-horon.

其界自此轉至路斯、至路斯南、路斯即伯特利、又下至山間亞他綠亞達、即在下伯和崙之南、

From there it crossed to the south slope of Luz( that is, Bethel) and went down to Ataroth Addar on the hill south of Lower Beth Horon.

Then from there the border continued to Luz, to the side of Luz( that is, Bethel) southward; and the border went down to Ataroth addar, near the hill which lies on the south of lower Beth horon.

The border went over from there toward Luz, to the side of Luz( which is Bethel) southward; and the border descended to Ataroth Addar, near the hill that lies on the south side of Lower Beth Horon.

And the border passed along from thence to Luz, to the side of Luz( the same is Beth- el), southward; and the border went down to Ataroth- addar, by the mountain that lieth on the south of Beth- horon the nether.

It then crossed from there to Luz, to the slope of Luz to the south( that is, Bethel), and descended to Ataroth Addar located on the hill that is south of lower Beth Horon.

The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz( also called Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth Horon the lower.

and named the place Bethel, though previously the city was named Luz.

From Bethel it went to Luz and proceeded to the border of the Archites by Ataroth.It then descended westward to the border of the Japhletites as far as the border of Lower Beth-horon, then to Gezer, and ended at the Mediterranean Sea.

The house of Joseph also attacked Bethel, and the LORD was with them.They sent spies to Bethel( the town was formerly named Luz).The spies saw a man coming out of the town and said to him,“ Please show us how to get into town, and we will show you kindness.”When he showed them the way into the town, they put the town to the sword but released the man and his entire family.Then the man went to the land of the Hittites, built a town, and named it Luz. That is its name still today.

Kibzaim with its pasturelands, and Beth-horon with its pasturelands— four cities.

As they fled before Israel, the LORD threw large hailstones on them from the sky along the descent of Beth-horon all the way to Azekah, and they died. More of them died from the hail than the Israelites killed with the sword.

This was the territory of the descendants of Ephraim by their clans: The border of their inheritance went from Ataroth-addar on the east to Upper Beth-horon.
