當時耶和華諭我曰、仍製二碑、必遵前式、亦作木匱、陟山覲我、昔在石上、勒以箴言、為爾所毀、我今復書、當藏於匱。於是我以皂莢木作匱、製二石碑、與前無異、執以登山。民會之日、耶和華在山、由火中、以十誡諭爾、循其前言、書於碑上、錫之於我、我旋踵下山、以二碑藏所作之匱、遵耶和華命、至今猶存。以色列族遄征、離庇尼雅干泉、至摩西拉、亞倫死於彼、葬於彼、其子以利亞撒繼為祭司。自此而行、至谷坷大、自谷坷大至約巴、在彼有溪河。當時耶和華、區別利未支派、使舁耶和華約匱、立於其前、以奉事之、籲其名而頌禱、即以今日之事為證。故利未人在同儕中、俱無恆業、惟人獻於耶和華者、皆必歸之、循爾上帝耶和華所許。我居於山、四旬晝夜、與昔無異、耶和華復允我祈、不加殲滅於爾。命我啟行、為民先導、得主所誓爾祖之地。○以色列族乎、爾上帝耶和華、使爾所為何事、第畏爾上帝、行由其道、一心一意、愛之事之、恪守我今日所傳耶和華之禮儀禁令、以納福祉。天與天上之明宮、地與地上之萬有、咸屬於爾上帝耶和華、惟耶和華眷愛爾祖、特於天下億兆中、遴選其裔、以為己民、即以今日之事為證。故當潔爾心、毋強爾項、蓋爾之上帝耶和華、乃諸上帝之上帝、諸主之主、巨能可畏之上帝、不偏視人、不取賄賂、為孤寡伸冤、矜恤旅人、賜之衣食。爾亦當矜恤旅人、緣昔爾曹旅於埃及、爾當寅畏爾上帝耶和華而奉事之、恆從其道、惟指其名而發誓。爾之上帝、特為爾曹行斯大事、深為可畏、爾所目擊、故當頌之。昔爾列祖、往埃及時、惟七十人、今爾上帝耶和華、使爾昌熾、如天星之眾多焉。

約瑟子孫掣籤得地、自約但河濱之耶利哥、至耶利哥水東、及伯特利山之野、自伯特利至路斯、沿亞其界、至亞大錄、西向押利底界、至平原之伯和倫界、及基色、極於海。此約瑟子、馬拿西以法蓮所受之業。○以法蓮族、循其世系、得地之東界、即亞大錄亞達、及岡上之伯和倫、北界之西、至蜜米大、東至大納示羅、又至雅挪哈、自雅挪哈、至亞大錄拿臘、延耶利哥、及約但河。西自大布亞、至加拿溪、極於海、此以法蓮族、循其世系、得業之界。上二邑與其鄉里、雖在馬拿西業中、尚屬以法蓮族。迦南人居基色、不為以法蓮人所逐、仍處其中、入貢以服役、至於今日。
