约书亚又照耶和华的吩咐，在犹大支派所分到的土地之中划出基列·亚巴，即希伯仑，分给耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。亚巴是亚衲人的祖先。

In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah— Kiriath Arba, that is, Hebron.( Arba was the forefather of Anak.)

Joshua gave a part of Judah’s share of land to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh. That was according to the Lord’ s command to Joshua. The share Caleb received was the city of Hebron. It was also called Kiriath Arba. Anak came from the family line of Arba.

According to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the people of Judah, Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron( Arba was the father of Anak).

The Lord commanded Joshua to assign some of Judah’s territory to Caleb son of Jephunneh. So Caleb was given the town of Kiriath arba( that is, Hebron), which had been named after Anak’s ancestor.

He gave Caleb son of Jephunneh the following portion among the descendants of Judah based on the LORD’s instruction to Joshua: Kiriath-arba( that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak).

Now he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah, in accordance with the command of the Lord to Joshua, namely, Kiriath arba, Arba being the father of Anak( that is, Hebron).

Now to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a share among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, namely, Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron( Arba was the father of Anak).

And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Jehovah to Joshua, even Kiriath- arba, which Arba was the father of Anak( the same is Hebron).

He gave Caleb son of Jephunneh the following portion among the descendants of Judah based on the Lord’s instruction to Joshua: Kiriath-arba( that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak).

And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua,[ even] the city of Arba the father of Anak, which[ city is] Hebron.

Caleb son of Jephunneh was assigned Kiriath Arba( that is Hebron) within the tribe of Judah, according to the LORD’s instructions to Joshua.( Arba was the father of Anak.)

He gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Yahweh to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak( also called Hebron).

迦勒让站在摩西面前的民众安静，然后说：“我们立刻去占领那地方吧！我们必能取胜。”

“你们的埋怨惹耶和华发怒，祂起誓说，‘这邪恶的一代没有一人能看见我起誓要赐给他们祖先的佳美之地，只有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒能看见，我必把他所踏之地赐给他和他的后代，因为他全心全意地跟从我。’

那时，犹大支派的人来到吉甲见约书亚，其中有基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒。他对约书亚说：“你知道耶和华在加低斯·巴尼亚跟上帝的仆人摩西提到关于你和我的事。我四十岁那年，耶和华的仆人摩西从加低斯·巴尼亚派我来侦察这地方，我如实禀告他。与我同去的弟兄的禀告令以色列人胆战心惊，但我忠心地追随我的上帝耶和华。所以，当日摩西就向我起誓，‘你脚踏过的地方必永远归你和你的子孙作产业，因为你忠心地追随我的上帝耶和华。’耶和华照祂的应许，让我又活了四十五年，这些日子都是跟以色列人在旷野一起度过的。看！我现在已经八十五岁了，仍像当年摩西派我出去时那样身强力壮，跟当年一样能征善战。现在，求你照耶和华当日向我应许的，把这山区赐给我。你亲耳听到那里有亚衲人，他们的城池高大坚固。但如果耶和华与我同在，我必照着祂的应许把这些人赶走。”于是，约书亚便祝福耶孚尼的儿子迦勒，把希伯仑给他，作为他的产业。所以，希伯仑至今仍是基尼洗族耶孚尼的儿子迦勒的产业，因为他忠心地追随以色列的上帝耶和华。希伯仑从前名叫基列·亚巴，亚巴原是亚衲族中最伟大的人。从此，境内太平，没有战争。
