to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.

Jabin sent the same message to the people of east Canaan and west Canaan. He sent it to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites. They lived in the central hill country. He also sent it to the Hivites who lived below Mount Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

密士巴、基非拉、摩撒、

又名密士巴、蓋曰、爾我相暌隔時、耶和華為眷佑。

又基列與基述馬迦接壤之區、黑門山及巴山至撒迦。

耶布士人、即耶路撒冷居民也、猶大族不能驅之、與之同居、至於今日。

撒母耳曰、當集以色列族、悉至米斯巴、我為汝祈耶和華。遂集至米斯巴、汲水斟於耶和華前、是日禁食曰、我獲罪耶和華。撒母耳在米斯巴為以色列族士師。非利士人聞以色列族集於米斯巴、則諸伯至、欲攻擊之。以色列族聞之甚畏、

以色列族曾發誓言、凡不至米斯巴詣耶和華前者、必殺毋赦。故相問曰、以色列支派中、孰不至耶和華會。

我駐密士巴、奉迦勒底人命、爾當釀酒、製油、斂夏時之果、藏之於器、在所得之邑、安居無虞。

以色列族偕迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人同居。

我之愛妃、與我偕行、至利巴嫩山、登亞馬拿、示溺、黑門之峰、其地有獅穴豹岡、於彼憑高四顧。

南極北極、爾所創造、大泊黑門、為爾奠定而歡呼兮。

天使在耶路撒冷、舉手欲擊都城、耶和華怒息、諭勦民之天使曰、足矣、可止爾手。其時天使在耶布士人。亞勞拿之穀場。

自濱亞嫩溪之亞羅耳至西雲山即黑門、

撒母耳集民於米斯巴、詣耶和華前、

底蓮、密士巴、約帖、

亞馬力族居南方、赫人、耶布士人、亞摩哩人居山、迦南人瀕海與約但河居焉。

譬彼零露、遍於黑門、降於郇山兮、在彼耶和華錫福、永生靡暨兮。

在密士巴從其大利之猶大人、及迦勒底人、武士、悉被以實馬利所殺。

又曰、以色列支派中、孰不至米斯巴、詣耶和華前乎。核數其民、乃知基列之雅疋、不至營壘、入於會中。

亞撒王降詔、命猶大眾咸至、不遺一人、使取巴沙建拉馬之木石、以建便雅憫之基巴、及密士巴。

厥後爾之上帝耶和華、導爾入所得之土、驅逐赫人、革迦西人、亞摩哩人、迦南人比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、此七族較爾強大、

耶利米往密士巴、見亞希甘子其大利、與遺民同居。

以色列會眾群集、自但至別是巴、與基列地之民、皆至米斯巴、咸懷一心、立於耶和華前。

所羅門所用以從役事者、非以色列族民、乃在昔未能盡滅之亞摩哩人、赫人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人、所遺於世之子孫、迄於今日、猶供役事。
