“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

你要委任約書亞，勉勵他，支持他，因為他必帶領以色列人過河，佔領你眺望的那片土地。』

「你們要走遍全營，吩咐大家預備好食物。因為三天之內，你們就要過約旦河，去佔領你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們的土地。」

「看啊，我所扶持、所揀選、所喜悅的僕人，我已將我的靈賜給祂，祂必將正義帶給萬邦。

摩西把約書亞叫來，當著全體以色列人的面對他說：「你要剛強勇敢！因為你要帶領百姓進入耶和華起誓賜給他們祖先的土地，把土地分給他們。

耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華對摩西的助手——嫩的兒子約書亞說：

「耶和華啊，你是賜人生命的上帝，求你立一個人做會眾的首領，帶領他們或進或退，免得你的會眾像沒有牧人的羊群。」耶和華對摩西說：「嫩的兒子約書亞心裡有聖靈，你把他召來，按手在他身上，讓他站在以利亞撒祭司和全體會眾面前，當著他們的面任命他做首領，把你的權柄賜給他，使以色列全體會眾都聽從他。遇到事情，他要去以利亞撒祭司那裡，讓祭司藉著烏陵為他求問我。他和全體會眾或進或出都要聽從以利亞撒的指示。」

摩西以僕人的身分向上帝的全家盡忠，為將來要宣告的事做見證。但基督是以兒子的身分忠心治理上帝的家。我們若堅強勇敢，持定引以為榮的盼望，我們就是祂的家了。

以前做祭司的人數極多，但因為受死亡的限制，都不能長久擔任聖職。然而，基督永遠活著，祂的祭司職位也永不更改。
