“你们要牢记耶和华的仆人摩西吩咐你们的话，他说你们的上帝耶和华要把约旦河东面的土地赐给你们，让你们安居。

“你们要追念耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的话说：‘耶和华你们的神使你们得享平安，也必将这地赐给你们。’

“你们要记得耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的话说：‘耶和华—你们的上帝使你们得享安宁，必将这地赐给你们。’

“你们要记得耶和华的仆人摩西所吩咐你们的话说：‘耶和华—你们的神使你们得享安宁，必将这地赐给你们。’

“你们要记住耶和华的仆人摩西吩咐你们的话：‘耶和华你们的神赐你们安息，他必把这地赐给你们。’

當追念主之僕摩西所諭爾之言云、主爾之天主之已賜安於爾、以斯地賜爾、

“ Remember the command that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you after he said,‘ The Lord your God will give you rest by giving you this land.’

“ Remember what Moses, the servant of the Lord, commanded you. He said,‘ The Lord your God is giving you this land. It’s a place where you can make your homes and live in peace and rest.’

“ Remember the word that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying,‘ The Lord your God is providing you a place of rest and will give you this land.’

“ Remember what Moses, the servant of the Lord, commanded you:‘ The Lord your God is giving you a place of rest. He has given you this land.’

“ Remember what Moses the LORD’s servant commanded you when he said,‘ The LORD your God will give you rest, and he will give you this land.’

“ Remember the word which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, saying,‘ Yahweh your God gives you rest, and will give you this land.

摩西说：“如果你们信守承诺，拿起兵器在耶和华面前出战，你们全军就要在耶和华面前渡过约旦河，直到祂赶走祂面前的仇敌，征服那地方。之后，你们才可以回家，才算在耶和华和以色列人面前尽了自己的责任，这地方就在耶和华面前归给你们作产业。但如果你们不守承诺，就是得罪耶和华，必难逃惩罚。你们现在去为家人筑城邑，为牛羊建围栏吧，但别忘了信守承诺。”迦得和吕便的子孙对摩西说：“仆人们一定遵命而行。我们的妻子、孩子、牛羊等牲畜都会留在基列的各城。仆人当中所有能上阵打仗的人都会照你的吩咐在耶和华面前过河作战。”于是，摩西对以利亚撒祭司、嫩的儿子约书亚和以色列各支派的族长说：

“那时我吩咐他们，‘你们的上帝耶和华已经把这些地方赐给你们，但你们所有的战士必须带着兵器过河，做同胞的先锋。我知道你们有许多牲畜，你们的妻子、儿女和牲畜可以留在我分给你们的城邑。等你们的上帝耶和华使其他以色列人和你们一样有了安身之所，占领了耶和华赐给他们的约旦河西之地后，你们才可以返回我分给你们的家园。’

约书亚召来了吕便、迦得和玛拿西半个支派的人来，对他们说：“你们都遵守了耶和华的仆人摩西的一切吩咐，也遵守了我的一切吩咐。这些日子以来，你们从没有离弃自己的弟兄，遵守了你们的上帝耶和华的吩咐。现在你们的上帝耶和华已经照祂的应许使你们的弟兄安居，你们可以回到约旦河东，到摩西赐给你们作产业的地方。
