於是船長去找他，對他說：『沉睡的人哪，你為甚麼這樣？起來，呼求你的神，或者那神想念到我們，使我們不至於滅亡啊。』

船主到他那里对他说：“你这沉睡的人哪，为何这样呢？起来，求告你的神，或者神顾念我们，使我们不致灭亡。”

船长到他那里，对他说：“你怎么还在沉睡呢？起来，求告你的神明，或者神明顾念我们，使我们不致灭亡。”

船长来到约拿身边对他说：“你这个人，怎么这时候还在睡觉！快起来祈求你的神吧，也许你的神会怜悯我们，饶我们一命。”

船长走到他面前，对他说：“你怎么啦！睡得那么熟？快起来，求告你的神吧！或者神会记念我们，使我们不至于丧命！”

船长来到约拿那里，对他说：“你竟敢沉睡！起来，向你的神呼求！或许你的神会顾念我们，使我们不致灭亡。”

船主到他那裏對他說：「你這沉睡的人哪，為何這樣呢？起來，求告你的神，或者神顧念我們，使我們不致滅亡。」

船長到他那裏，對他說：「你怎麼還在沉睡呢？起來，求告你的神明，或者神明顧念我們，使我們不致滅亡。」

船長來到約拿那裡，對他說：「你竟敢沉睡！起來，向你的神呼求！或許你的神會顧念我們，使我們不致滅亡。」

舟長就之曰、睡者歟、奚若此、其起禱爾神、庶神眷念我儕、免致死亡、

The captain went to him and said,“ How can you sleep? Get up and call on your god! Maybe he will take notice of us so that we will not perish.”

The captain went down to him and said,“ How can you sleep? Get up and call out to your god for help! Maybe he’ll pay attention to what’s happening to us. Then we won’t die.”

So the captain came and said to him,“ What do you mean, you sleeper? Arise, call out to your god! Perhaps the god will give a thought to us, that we may not perish.”

So the captain went down after him.“ How can you sleep at a time like this?” he shouted.“ Get up and pray to your god! Maybe he will pay attention to us and spare our lives.”

The captain approached him and said,“ What are you doing sound asleep? Get up! Call to your god. Maybe this god will consider us, and we won’t perish.”

So the captain approached him and said,“ How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god! Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish.”

So the captain came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

The captain approached him and said,“ What are you doing sound asleep? Get up! Call to your god. Maybe this god will consider us, and we won’t perish.”

The ship’s captain approached him and said,“ What are you doing asleep? Get up! Cry out to your god! Perhaps your god might take notice of us so that we might not die!”

So the ship master came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”

或者上帝改變初衷，回心轉意、不發烈怒，使我們不至於滅亡，也未可知。』

要恨惡壞事，要喜愛良善，在城門口確立着公義，或者永恆主萬軍之上帝會向約瑟的餘民施恩。

上帝就用勞苦來制伏他們的心；他們跌倒，也沒有人幫助。於是他們在急難中呼求永恆主拯救他們脫離他們的窘迫；

大衛說：『孩子還活着時、我禁食哭泣，因為我心裏說：「誰知道永恆主不恩待我、使孩子活着呢？」

當下起了大暴風，波浪潑進船內，甚至船簡直滿了！耶穌竟在船尾上靠着枕頭睡覺呢；門徒就叫醒了他，對他說：『老師，我們喪命，你不在意麼？』耶穌醒起來，斥責那風，向海說：『不要作聲！噤默罷！』那風不狂吹，便大大平靜了。耶穌對他們說：『為甚麼這麼膽怯呢？怎麼沒有信心呢？』他們就大起了敬畏的心，直彼此說：『這個人到底是誰？連風和海也聽從他！』

於是保羅回答說：『你們幹麼哭、使我心碎呢？為了主耶穌的名、不但被捆綁、就是死在耶路撒冷、我都準備作的。』

於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主援救他們脫離他們的窘迫；

每逢他殺了他們的時候，他們總求問他，總回心轉意、迫切切地尋求上帝。

他們對樹榦說：「你是我的父」，對石頭說：「你是生我的」。他們是以背向着我，不是以面；到遭遇患難時，他們卻說：「起來，拯救我們哦！」但你的神、你為自己所作的、在哪裏呢？你遭遇患難時，他們若能拯救你，你叫他們起來吧！唉，猶大啊，你的神就等於你城市的數目那麼多呀！

還有一點，你們知道這時機已是多麼危急了。已是該從睡眠中醒起的鐘點了；因為救恩、現今比我們初信時、更接近於我們了。

他們的胃口厭惡各樣食物；因此他們就走近死門。於是他們在急難中呼求永恆主拯救他們脫離他們的窘迫；永恆主就發命令醫治他們，搭救他們免下冥坑。

『你去招聚書珊所找得着的一切猶大人為我禁食，不喫不喝三天，就是三晝三夜；我也這樣，我和我的侍女也要禁食；這樣，我就不照法令進去見王；我若死，就死罷。』

主萬軍之永恆主發神諭說：『你們為甚麼壓碎了我的人民，搓磨貧困人的臉呢？』

永恆主在他的軍隊前頭發出聲音；他的營兵極大；那執行他命令的是強盛者。永恆主的日子很大；極其可畏懼：誰能擔受得起呢？

於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主帶領他們脫出他們的窘迫；永恆主就使狂風低微下來，海的波浪就平靜無聲。

所以說：『睡着的人哪，醒起來吧，從死人中復起，基督就光照你了。』

『論到以色列地你們怎麼用這俗語說：「父親喫了酸葡萄，兒子的牙酸倒了」呢？
