「因此，亞基帕王啊！我沒有違背那從天上來的異象；

他就向耶和華禱告，說：「耶和華啊，這不就是我仍在本國的時候所說的嗎？我知道你是有恩惠，有憐憫的上帝，不輕易發怒，有豐盛的慈愛，並且會改變心意，不降那災難。我就是因為這樣，才急速逃往他施去的呀！

我傳福音原沒有可誇耀的，因為我是不得已的，若不傳福音，我就有禍了。

你們當渡到他施去，哀號吧，沿海的居民！

他在那裏進了一個洞，在洞中過夜。看哪，耶和華的話臨到他，說：「以利亞，你在這裏做甚麼？」

耶和華啊，你欺哄了我，我也被你欺哄了。你比我強，並且得勝。我終日成為笑柄，人人都戲弄我。我每逢講話的時候，就哀嘆，我喊叫：「有暴力和毀滅！」因為耶和華的話終日成了我的凌辱和譏刺。我若說：「我不再提耶和華，也不再奉他的名講論」，我心裏便覺得似乎有燒着的火悶在我骨中，我忍受不住，不能自禁。

此後，彼得在約帕一個皮革匠西門的家裏住了好些日子。

「他施因你多有財物，就作你的客商，他們帶着銀、鐵、錫、鉛前來換你的商品。

耶和華對撒但說：「看哪，凡他所有的都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害於他。」於是撒但從耶和華面前退出去。

摩西說：「主啊，求求你，你要藉着誰的手，就差派誰去吧！」耶和華的怒氣向摩西發作，說：「你不是有一個哥哥利未人亞倫嗎？我知道他是個能言善道的人。看哪，他正出來迎接你。他一見到你，心裏就歡喜。

但保羅認為不宜帶他去，因為馬可從前在旁非利亞離開他們，不和他們一起工作。

於是靈將我舉起，帶着我走。我就去了，十分苦惱，我的靈火熱；耶和華的手重重地按在我身上。

耶穌對他說：「手扶着犁向後看的人，不配進上帝的國。」

他們要受懲罰，永遠沉淪，與主的面和他權能的榮光隔絕。

我往哪裏去，躲避你的靈？我往哪裏逃，躲避你的面？我若升到天上，你在那裏；我若躺在陰間，你也在那裏。我若展開清晨的翅膀，飛到海極居住，就是在那裏，你的手必引導我，你的右手也必扶持我。我若說「黑暗必定壓碎我，我周圍的亮光必成為黑夜」，黑暗對你不再是黑暗，黑夜卻如白晝發亮。黑暗和光明，在你看來都是一樣。

於是撒但從耶和華面前退出去，擊打約伯，使他從腳掌到頭頂長毒瘡。

臨到他施一切的船隻、一切華麗的船艇。

我們必照你所需用的，從黎巴嫩砍伐樹木，紮成筏子，浮海運到約帕；你可以從那裏運到耶路撒冷。」

天起了涼風，那人和他妻子聽見耶和華上帝在園中來回行走的聲音，就藏在園裏的樹木中，躲避耶和華上帝的面。

以利亞害怕，就起來逃命，到了猶大的別是巴，把僕人留在那裏。

眾海島必等候我，他施的船隻領先，將你的兒女，連同他們的金銀從遠方帶來，這都因以色列的聖者、耶和華－你上帝的名，因為他已經榮耀了你。
