就是說，正如約拿在大魚的肚子裡三天三夜，人子也照樣將要在地心三天三夜。

就是說，約拿怎樣成了對尼尼微人的一個神蹟，人子也將照樣成為對這世代的一個神蹟。

一個邪惡、淫亂的世代會尋求神蹟，可是除了約拿的神蹟以外，不會有神蹟賜給它了。」然後耶穌就離開他們走了。

其中有巨大的海洋，兩面寬闊；海裡游動的活物無法數算，大小生物都有；那裡有船隻航行，你所造的水怪在裡面玩耍。

神就創造了海中的巨獸和在水中群聚、活動的各樣生物，各從其類；又創造了各樣有翅膀的飛鳥，各從其類。神看這是好的。

耶和華神指派了一棵蓖麻，使它長起來高過約拿，為他的頭遮蔭，好解脫他的苦惱。於是約拿因這棵蓖麻而歡喜，大大喜樂。
