他们又对他说：“我们该对你怎么做，才能使海为我们平静下来呢？”因为海浪越来越汹涌了。

他們問他說：「我們當向你怎樣行，使海浪平靜呢？」這話是因海浪越發翻騰。

海浪越來越洶湧，他們就問他說：「我們當向你做甚麼，才能使海浪平靜呢？」

他們就問他說：『我們應該怎樣處置你，使海平靜下來、而不沖撞我們？』這是因為海越來越翻騰着。

他們又問他：「我們該對你怎麼做，才能使海為我們平靜下來呢？」因為海浪越來越洶湧了。

又謂之曰、我當何以待爾、使海為我而恬靜乎、因海久而愈盪、

又曰、今海之波濤洶湧已甚、當若何待爾、使海恬靜乎、

The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him,“ What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?”

Then they said to him,“ What shall we do to you, that the sea may quiet down for us?” For the sea grew more and more tempestuous.

And since the storm was getting worse all the time, they asked him,“ What should we do to you to stop this storm?”

So they said to him,“ What should we do to you so that the sea will calm down for us?” For the sea was getting worse and worse.

So they said to him,“ What should we do to you so that the sea will become calm for us?”— for the sea was becoming increasingly stormy.

Then they said to him,“ What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm for us?”— for the sea was growing more tempestuous.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea grew more and more tempestuous.

So they said to him,“ What should we do to you to calm this sea that’s against us?” For the sea was getting worse and worse.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

Because the storm was growing worse and worse, they said to him,“ What should we do to you to make the sea calm down for us?”

Then they said to him,“ What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?” For the sea grew more and more stormy.

大闢在位之時年饑、歷三載、大闢諮諏於耶和華。耶和華曰、緣掃羅及其全家、殘忍是行嘗殺基遍人。初基遍人不屬以色列族、乃亞摩哩族遺民。以色列族與之盟約、掃羅為以色列猶大二族熱中而殺之、至是大闢召基遍人、問曰、我為爾將何所為、以贖此罪、使爾為耶和華之選民而祝嘏。基遍人曰、掃羅家有金銀、我不欲得、亦毋緣我之故、殺以色列族一民。曰、汝所言者、我必行之。基遍人曰、昔耶和華簡掃羅為王、彼謀害我、欲行殲滅、使在以色列族四境、不存我命、我欲其後裔七人、悉付我手、我必懸於掃羅之邑其庇亞、在耶和華前。王曰、我必付爾。

先見者伽得為大闢所倚重、詰朝大闢起、耶和華命彼、往告大闢曰、三災之中、耶和華必降一於爾、使爾自擇。伽得告大闢曰、或饑饉臨於爾土、歷至七年、或為敵追襲、歷至三月、或瘟疫流行爾國、歷至三日、爾其思之、俾我反告遣我者。

民曰我欲崇拜至上之上帝耶和華、當獻何物、豈可以燔祭盈歲之犢、臚陳於前哉、抑耶和華將以牡綿羊數千為悅、或以萬溪流油為悅、我當以初產之嬰孩、贖我愆尤、抑以親生之骨肉、贖我邪念乎。

非利士人招其祭司、與卜筮之師、曰、耶和華之匱、將何以處之、當用何術遣歸故土。曰、如欲遣歸以色列族上帝之匱、毋使徒去、必獻補過之祭、則可得醫、而降災不輟之故、由是而知。
