有囿於埃田東、乃耶和華上帝所樹者、以所造之人置於其間。

我散斯眾於列邦、至於素不識之地、使膏腴之壤、變為荒蕪、無人往來、遍境寂寞。

火燬牧場、林木皆焚、我無所望、惟籲耶和華、溪河其涸、牧場盡燬、野獸仰望於上。

蝗遍通國、覆蔽全地、田蔬園木、未壞於雹者、悉為所食、樹葉田蔬、靡有。孑遺。○

周遍於地、幾無隙土、其未壞於雹者、必為蝗所食、以及園中植木、無不盡焉。

我上帝涖臨、聿駿厥聲、電閃於前、大風四起兮、

上帝囿之柏香木、不能出其上、松樹不及其長條、楓樹不及其弱幹、上帝囿中、眾木雖美、不得與之頡頏、枝葉向榮、葱蒨可悅、我使之然、上帝囿中諸木、亦嫉其高、

其時所多馬蛾摩拉未為耶和華所滅。自約但平原至於瑣耳、土皆潤澤、猶耶和華園、可與埃及相頡頑、

主命蝗集、千百成群、不可計數、食田蔬、害物產兮、

食爾餱糧、戮爾子女、宰爾牛羊、斫爾葡萄、以及無花果樹、毀爾所恃之城垣、刃擊居民。

維彼蝗蟲、食爾禾稼、其食餘、次至者食之、有餘、三至者食之、又有餘、四至者食之、釀酒無資、既醉者醒而哭泣、欲飲者哀號不已、異族犯境、強而且眾、不可勝數、其齒若牡獅、其牙若牝獅、折我葡萄樹、剝我無花果、去皮現質、

耶和華復以一事示予、以火罰民、深淵悉涸、所得之地、成焦土焉。
