And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

Defraud ye not one the other, except[ it be] with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

And said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy[ place].

And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel,[ There is] an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.

Which[ is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,[ and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders[ and] all the inhabitants of the land[ into] the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

And he caused[ it] to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that[ is] in their hands.

And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers,[ with] all the men of Israel,Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger that[ is] in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water:

So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that[ they] may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

[ That] prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though[ he be] not[ cleansed] according to the purification of the sanctuary.

And they brought forth the he goats[ for] the sin offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:And the priests killed them, and they made reconciliation with their blood upon the altar, to make an atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded[ that] the burnt offering and the sin offering[ should be made] for all Israel.
