你們要召集民眾，使會眾分別為聖；招聚老人，聚集孩童，和在懷中吃奶的嬰孩；讓新郎從新房出來，新婦從內室出來。

Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.

Bring them together. Set all of them apart to me. Bring together the elders. Gather the children and the babies who are still nursing. Let the groom leave his bedroom. Let the bride leave their marriage bed.

那時全猶大的人，連他們的嬰孩、妻子和兒女，都站在耶和華面前。

夫妻不可彼此虧負，除非為了要專心禱告，雙方才可以同意暫時分房。以後仍要同房，免得撒但趁著你們情不自禁的時候誘惑你們。

對他們說：“利未人哪，你們要聽我的話；現在你們要自潔，又要潔淨耶和華你們列祖的神的殿，把污穢之物從聖所中除去。

又叫那些親近耶和華的祭司分別為聖，恐怕耶和華忽然擊殺他們。”

他回答：“是為平安來的。我來是要向耶和華獻祭。你們要自潔，與我一同參加獻祭的筵席。”撒母耳使耶西和他的兒子自潔，邀請他們來參加獻祭的筵席。

耶和華對摩西說：“你到人民那裡去，要他們今天明天分別為聖，又要他們洗淨自己的衣服；

輪流設宴的日子一過，約伯就差人去叫他們自潔。他清早起來，按他們的數目獻上燔祭。因為他心裡想：“說不定孩子犯了罪，心中褻瀆了神。”約伯經常這樣作。

他對人民說：“第三天，你們要預備好了；不可親近女人。”

因為會眾中有很多人還沒有自潔，所以利未人必須為所有不潔的人宰殺逾越節的羊羔，使他們在耶和華面前成為聖潔。

到那日，耶路撒冷必有極大的哀哭，像在米吉多平原的哈達臨門的哀哭一樣。全地都要哀哭，一家一家獨在一處哀哭。大衛家獨在一處，他們的婦女也獨在一處；拿單家獨在一處，他們的婦女也獨在一處；利未家獨在一處，他們的婦女也獨在一處；示每家獨在一處，他們的婦女也獨在一處；其餘的各家都是一家一家獨在一處，他們的婦女也獨在一處。”

你起來，要人民自潔，對他們說：‘你們要自潔，預備明天；因為耶和華以色列的神這樣說：以色列啊！你們中間有那當毀滅的物；除非你們把那當毀滅的物從你們中間除去，你們在仇敵的面前就不能站立得住。

太陽如同新郎出洞房，又像勇士歡歡喜喜地跑路。

你們要把禁食的日子分別為聖，召開嚴肅會，聚集眾長老和國中所有的居民，到你們的神耶和華的殿裡，向耶和華呼求。

他又傳諭全尼尼微，說：“王和大臣有令：‘人、畜、牛、羊，都不准嘗甚麼，不准吃，也不准喝。不論人畜，都要披上麻衣；各人要懇切呼求神，悔改，離開惡行，摒棄手中的強暴。

耶穌回答：“新郎跟賓客在一起的時候，賓客怎能哀痛呢？但到了時候，新郎就要從他們中間被取去，那時他們就要禁食了。

“今日你們全都站在耶和華你們的神面前；你們的首領、族長、長老、官長和以色列所有的男子，你們的小孩、妻子和在你營中的寄居者，以及為你們劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和華你們的神面前，

你們要宰逾越節的羊羔，潔淨自己，為你們的親族預備一切，遵守耶和華藉摩西吩咐的話。”

最後把作贖罪祭的公山羊，牽到王和會眾面前，王和會眾就按手在公山羊的身上。祭司宰了公山羊，把血灑在祭壇上作贖罪祭，為所有以色列人贖罪；因為王曾經吩咐要為所有以色列人獻上燔祭和贖罪祭。
