I am blameless. I do not know myself. I despise my life.

There was a man in the country of Uz named Job. He was a man of complete integrity, who feared God and turned away from evil.

For I am not conscious of anything against myself, but I am not justified by this. It is the Lord who judges me.

The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable— who can understand it?I, the LORD, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

The one who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.

Why not forgive my sin and pardon my iniquity? For soon I will lie down in the grave. You will eagerly seek me, but I will be gone.
