But if you pray to God and seek the favor of the Almighty,

你若殷勤地寻求神，向全能者恳求；

你若切切寻求上帝，向全能者恳求；

你若切切寻求神，向全能者恳求；

但你若寻求上帝，向全能者恳求；

你若殷勤寻求神，向全能者恳求；

你若殷勤地尋求神，向全能者懇求；

你若切切尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；

你若切切尋求神，向全能者懇求；

但你若尋求上帝，向全能者懇求；

你若殷勤尋求神，向全能者懇求；

你若迫切尋求上帝，而向全能者懇求；

爾若勤求上帝、祈於全能者、

如爾勤求上帝、乞恩於全能之主、

爾若尋求天主、向全能之主祈恩、

But if you will seek God earnestly and plead with the Almighty,

But seek God with all your heart. Make your appeal to the Mighty One.

If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy,

But if you earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,

If you will search for God And implore the compassion of the Almighty,

If you would earnestly seek God And make your supplication to the Almighty,

If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;

But if you earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

But if you will look to God, and make your supplication to the Almighty,

If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

“ If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy.Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

That is why the Holy Spirit says,“ Today when you hear his voice,don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

“ Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

“ If I were you, I would go to God and present my case to him.

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

“ Submit to God, and you will have peace; then things will go well for you.Listen to his instructions, and store them in your heart.If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored— so clean up your life.If you give up your lust for money and throw your precious gold into the river,the Almighty himself will be your treasure. He will be your precious silver!“ Then you will take delight in the Almighty and look up to God.You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows to him.You will succeed in whatever you choose to do, and light will shine on the road ahead of you.If people are in trouble and you say,‘ Help them,’ God will save them.Even sinners will be rescued; they will be rescued because your hands are pure.”

But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!
