Why do you not pardon my offenses and forgive my sins? For I will soon lie down in the dust; you will search for me, but I will be no more.”

If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame[ and] everlasting contempt.

Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we[ are] all thy people.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us[ our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

[ As for] man, his days[ are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Yet shall he be brought to the grave, and shall remain in the tomb.The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, and every man shall draw after him, as[ there are] innumerable before him.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he[ was] not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

Who[ is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth[ in] mercy.He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no[ more]: thine eyes[ are] upon me, and I[ am] not.

I have said to corruption, Thou[ art] my father: to the worm,[ Thou art] my mother, and my sister.

For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,

Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive[ us] graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

How many[ are] mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?

We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that[ our] prayer should not pass through.

Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever,[ and] forsake us so long time?Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.

Thy dead[ men] shall live,[ together with] my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew[ is as] the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
