I have sinned; what shall I do unto thee, O thou preserver of men? why hast thou set me as a mark against thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

鉴察人的主啊，我若有罪，于你何妨？为何以我当你的箭靶子，使我厌弃自己的性命？

鑒察人的主啊，我若有罪，於你何妨？為何以我當你的箭靶子，使我厭棄自己的性命？

窺察人的主啊，我若犯了罪，對你有何妨礙呢？為甚麼拿我當你射擊的箭靶？使我成了你的累贅呢？

鑒察人者、我即有罪、於爾何涉、曷以我為的、使我視己為重負、

爾為上主、鑒察人心、即我犯罪、何虧於爾、曷擊我、使我不樂其生。

庇庇或作保全人之主、我即犯罪、何虧於主、何擊我又擊、擊我又擊或作以我當的使我自厭生命、

If I have sinned, what have I done to you, you who see everything we do? Why have you made me your target? Have I become a burden to you?

If I’ve really sinned, tell me what I’ve done to you. You see everything we do. Why do you shoot your arrows at me? Have I become a problem to you?

If I sin, what do I do to you, you watcher of mankind? Why have you made me your mark? Why have I become a burden to you?

If I have sinned, what have I done to you, O watcher of all humanity? Why make me your target? Am I a burden to you?

He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.

Thy righteousness[ is] like the great mountains; thy judgments[ are] a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.[ Am] I a sea, or a whale, that thou settest a watch over me?

He looketh upon men, and[ if any] say, I have sinned, and perverted[ that which was] right, and it profited me not;

For the arrows of the Almighty[ are] within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

I am clean without transgression, I[ am] innocent; neither[ is there] iniquity in me.

If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or[ if] thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?

Thou,[ even] thou,[ art] LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all[ things] that[ are] therein, the seas, and all that[ is] therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken[ me] by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.

For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.

If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

[ Is] not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back,[ when] thou shalt make ready[ thine arrows] upon thy strings against the face of them.

[ If] I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
