“ To the one in despair, kindness should come from his friend even if he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

朋友应该怜悯灰心的人，因为他舍弃了对全能者的敬畏。

那將要灰心、離棄全能者、不敬畏神的人，他的朋友當以慈愛待他。

『不以慈愛待朋友的、是撇棄敬畏全能者的心。

人將頹敗、失其對全能者之寅畏、其友宜矜恤之、

人遭患難、其友必加矜憫、惟我友朋、不畏全能之主。

人遭患難、其友當加矜恤、不然、則為不敬畏全能之主、或作人遭患難雖不復畏全能之主其友亦當加矜恤

“ Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“ A person shouldn’t stop being kind to a friend. Anyone who does that stops showing respect for the Mighty One.

“ He who withholds kindness from a friend forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“ One should be kind to a fainting friend, but you accuse me without any fear of the Almighty.

A despairing man should receive loyalty from his friends, even if he abandons the fear of the Almighty.

“ For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend; So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty.

“ To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

To him that is ready to faint kindness should be showed from his friend; Even to him that forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

A despairing man should receive loyalty from his friends, even if he abandons the fear of the Almighty.

To him that is afflicted pity[ should be shewed] from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty.

“ To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

A friend loves at all times, and a relative is born to help in adversity.

But you even break off piety, and hinder meditation before God.

If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

But the other rebuked him, saying,“ Don’t you fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?

Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

But I would strengthen you with my words; comfort from my lips would bring you relief.

An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God,for he is too proud to recognize and give up his sin.The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right.

Abraham replied,“ Because I thought,‘ Surely no one fears God in this place. They will kill me because of my wife.’

Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, and those ill- treated as though you too felt their torment.

Have pity on me, my friends, have pity on me, for the hand of God has struck me.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not burn with indignation?

Look, you have instructed many; you have strengthened feeble hands.Your words have supported those who stumbled, and you have strengthened the knees that gave way.But now the same thing comes to you, and you are discouraged; it strikes you, and you are terrified.
