Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm:

那時永恆主從旋風中回答約伯說：

我們的上帝來臨，決不緘默；有火在他面前焚燒着，有暴風在他四圍大颳着。他呼喚着上天與下地，為要審問他的人民；他說：

但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。這一切既都要這樣消毁，你們就該做甚麼樣的人，該怎樣以聖別的品行和虔敬來期待、來催促上帝日子之來臨呢？為了這個、天必被火燒𤏲而消毁，星辰必因烈熾而熔化。

因為你們上了的並不是一個可摸觸的山：那裏有燒𤏲的火、與昏黑幽冥和旋風、號筒的響聲、和說話之聲音的；當時聽見的都請求不要把話語加傳給他們；因為他們當不起所訓諭的話說：『就使走獸觸着了這山，也必被扔石頭打死的』。
