This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance.

The rain he sends makes things grow for the nations. He provides them with plenty of food.

For by these he judges peoples; he gives food in abundance.

By these mighty acts he nourishes the people, giving them food in abundance.

He causes this to happen for punishment, for His land, or for His faithful love.

He gives food to every creature. His love is eternal.

He waters the mountains from His palace; the earth is satisfied by the fruit of Your labor.He causes grass to grow for the livestock and provides crops for man to cultivate, producing food from the earth,wine that makes man’s heart glad— making his face shine with oil— and bread that sustains man’s heart.

All of them wait for You to give them their food at the right time.When You give it to them, they gather it; when You open Your hand, they are satisfied with good things.

Remember that the Lord your God led you on the entire journey these 40 years in the wilderness, so that He might humble you and test you to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His commands.

Have you entered the place where the snow is stored? Or have you seen the storehouses of hail,which I hold in reserve for times of trouble, for the day of warfare and battle?

Samuel was offering the burnt offering as the Philistines drew near to fight against Israel. The Lord thundered loudly against the Philistines that day and threw them into such confusion that they fled before Israel.
