Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.

他将亮光普照在自己的四围；他又遮覆海底。

祂在四圍鋪展閃電，照亮大海的深處。

看哪，他將他的霧氣散布於四圍；又籠罩着羣山頂上。

閃光普照其四周、覆以海底、

電閃穹蒼、覆幬海底、

天主使光明普照其上、且以覆海底、

See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.

See how he scatters his lightning around him! He lights up the deepest parts of the ocean.

Behold, he scatters his lightning about him and covers the roots of the sea.

See how he spreads the lightning around him and how it lights up the depths of the sea.

Look, He scatters his light upon it, And covers the depths of the sea.

“ Can you raise your voice to the clouds, So that an abundance of water will cover you?Can you send flashes of lightning, so that they may go And say to you,‘ Here we are’?

Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has thrown into the sea; And the choicest of his officers are drowned in the Red Sea.The waters cover them; They went down into the depths like a stone.

He made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds.From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds, Hailstones and coals of fire.The Lord also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.He sent out His arrows, and scattered them, And lightning flashes in abundance, and routed them.Then the channels of water appeared, And the foundations of the world were exposed By Your rebuke, Lord, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.

“ Who has split open a channel for the flood, And a way for the thunderbolt,

He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter forever and ever.You covered it with the deep sea as with a garment; The waters were standing above the mountains.They fled from Your rebuke, At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.The mountains rose; the valleys sank down To the place which You established for them.You set a boundary so that they will not pass over, So that they will not return to cover the earth.

So the sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right and on their left.

For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in His day.

Then God said,“ Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.

“ Or who enclosed the sea with doors When it went out from the womb, bursting forth;When I made a cloud its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling bands,And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors,And I said,‘ As far as this point you shall come, but no farther; And here your proud waves shall stop’?

The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, Pharaoh’s entire army that had gone into the sea after them; not even one of them remained.
