People cry out because of severe oppression; they shout for help because of the power of the mighty.

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因受能者的辖制便求救，

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因强权者的膀臂而求救。

“人因多受欺压就哀求，因强权者的膀臂而求救。

“人们因饱受压迫而呼求，因强权者的压制而求救。

他们因多受欺压而呼叫，因受强权者的压制而呼求。

人因多受欺壓就哀求，因受能者的轄制便求救，

「人因多受欺壓就哀求，因強權者的膀臂而求救。

「人們因飽受壓迫而呼求，因強權者的壓制而求救。

他們因多受欺壓而呼叫，因受強權者的壓制而呼求。

『人因多受欺壓就哀呼：因受強者膀臂的轄制便呼救：

人因多虐而呼號、緣強者之臂而呼救、

人受困苦則嘆息、遭橫逆則呼號。

有人因多遭虐待而歎息、緣被有勢者欺壓而呼號、

“ People cry out under a load of oppression; they plead for relief from the arm of the powerful.

“ People cry out when they are treated badly. They beg to be set free from the power of those who are over them.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions people cry out; they call for help because of the arm of the mighty.

“ People cry out when they are oppressed. They groan beneath the power of the mighty.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.

“ Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry out for help because of the arm of the mighty.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.

People cry out because of severe oppression; they shout for help because of the arm of the mighty.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make[ the oppressed] to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

“ People cry out because of the excess of oppression; they cry out for help because of the power of the mighty.

“ By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out. They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.

After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned because of their difficult labor, they cried out, and their cry for help because of the difficult labor ascended to God.

but caused the poor to cry out to him, and he heard the outcry of the needy.

Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like his?

Break the arm of the wicked, evil person, until you look for his wickedness, but it can’t be found.

“ Because of the devastation of the needy and the groaning of the poor, I will now rise up,” says the LORD.“ I will provide safety for the one who longs for it.”

For you are the God of my refuge. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go about in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?

Be gracious to me, God, for a man is trampling me; he fights and oppresses me all day long.My adversaries trample me all day, for many arrogantly fight against me.

There was a widespread outcry from the people and their wives against their Jewish countrymen.Some were saying,“ We, our sons, and our daughters are numerous. Let us get grain so that we can eat and live.”Others were saying,“ We are mortgaging our fields, vineyards, and homes to get grain during the famine.”Still others were saying,“ We have borrowed money to pay the king’s tax on our fields and vineyards.We and our children are just like our countrymen and their children, yet we are subjecting our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters are already enslaved, but we are powerless because our fields and vineyards belong to others.”

And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying,‘ Give me justice against my adversary.’“ For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself,‘ Even though I don’t fear God or respect people,yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice, so that she doesn’t wear me out by her persistent coming.’”Then the Lord said,“ Listen to what the unjust judge says.Will not God grant justice to his elect who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay helping them?

From the city, men groan; the mortally wounded cry for help, yet God pays no attention to this crime.

He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows established leaders.

Pay attention to me and answer me. I am restless and in turmoil with my complaint,because of the enemy’s words, because of the pressure of the wicked. For they bring down disaster on me and harass me in anger.

So because the Israelites’ cry for help has come to me, and I have also seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them,

Then the LORD said,“ I have observed the misery of my people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors. I know about their sufferings,
