此我自辯之辭、願有聽之者、願全能之主答我、訟我者任其書我罪狀、

Oh that I had one to hear me! Here is my signature; Let the Almighty answer me! And the indictment which my adversary has written,

If only I had someone to hear my case! Here is my signature; let the Almighty answer me. Let my Opponent compose His indictment.

Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire[ is, that] the Almighty would answer me, and[ that] mine adversary had written a book.

求你把手从我身上挪开，不要用你的威严惊吓我。这样，你传唤我，我必回应；或者让我陈述，你来回答。

但愿把我的话写下来，记录在书卷上，用铁笔和铅镌刻在磐石上，直存到永远。

“我这样卑微，怎能答复你？我只有用手掩口。我说了一次，不能答复；说了两次，不敢再说。”

那时，耶和华从旋风中回答约伯说：“是谁用无知的话蒙蔽我的旨意？你要像勇士一样束腰备战，我来提问，你来回答。

但愿我知道何处能寻见上帝，知道怎样去祂的居所。我好在祂面前陈明案情，滔滔不绝地为自己申辩；我好知道祂的答复，看看祂对我说什么。祂会用大能与我争辩吗？不会的，祂会垂听我的申诉，允许正直的人与祂理论，审判者会让我永远脱罪。

更何况你说你看不见祂，你的案子已呈上，在等祂裁决。

“愿我仇敌的下场和恶人一样，愿我对头的结局和罪人相同。

“趁着你和告你的人还在去法庭的路上，你要赶紧与对方和解。不然，他会把你交给审判官，审判官会把你交给差役关进监牢。

我皮肤发黑，不是因为日晒，我在会众中站起来呼救。

耶和华啊，求你为我申冤，因为我行为纯全，毫不动摇地信靠你。

祂向我发烈怒，视我为仇敌。

我喊冤，却无人回应；我呼救，却不见公道。

上帝却挑我的错，与我为敌；祂给我戴上脚镣，鉴察我的一举一动。’

你为何掩面不看我？为何把我当作仇敌？

我想和全能者对话，我渴望跟上帝理论。

上帝啊，求你为我作保。除你以外，谁肯做我的保人？

在上帝面前，我与你无异，也是泥土造的。
