如我若此、則必戰慄於眾前、為戚族所藐視、緘口無詞、杜門不出。

因惧怕大众，又因宗族藐视我使我惊恐，以致闭口无言，杜门不出；

我若因大大惧怕众人，又因宗族的藐视而恐惧，以致我缄默不言，闭门不出；

我若因大大惧怕众人，又因宗族的藐视而恐惧，以致我缄默不言，闭门不出；

因惧怕群众，被族人藐视，就默不作声、不敢出门？

因为我惧怕群众，宗族的藐视又使我惊恐，以致我静默不言，足不出门。

因懼怕大眾，又因宗族藐視我使我驚恐，以致閉口無言，杜門不出；

我若因大大懼怕眾人，又因宗族的藐視而恐懼，以致我緘默不言，閉門不出；

因懼怕群眾，被族人藐視，就默不作聲、不敢出門？

因為我懼怕群眾，宗族的藐視又使我驚恐，以致我靜默不言，足不出門。

因懼怕蜂擁的眾人，又因宗族的藐視驚嚇我，以致我靜止不動，閉門不出；

因畏大眾、懼宗族之藐視、以致緘口、杜門不出、

如我有此、自思大眾必驚恐我、宗族必藐視我、凌辱我、使我蒙羞緘口、不敢出門、

because I so feared the crowd and so dreaded the contempt of the clans that I kept silent and would not go outside—

I was never afraid of the crowd. I never worried that my relatives might hate me. I didn’t have to keep quiet or stay inside.

because I stood in great fear of the multitude, and the contempt of families terrified me, so that I kept silence, and did not go out of doors—

Have I feared the crowd or the contempt of the masses, so that I kept quiet and stayed indoors?

because I greatly feared the crowds and because the contempt of the clans terrified me, so I grew silent and would not go outside?

Because I feared the great multitude And the contempt of families terrified me, And I kept silent and did not go out of doors?

毋從俗以行惡、有訟立證、毋狥眾以反正。

西底家王私誓、謂耶利米曰、我指賜我生命之耶和華而誓、必不殺爾、不付爾於敵手。

爾蹂躪貧乏、橫征麥稅、雖以雕石建廣廈、不得居其中、雖以葡萄栽嘉園、不得飲其酒、我知爾罪戾繁多、愆尤滋大、困逼義人、而受賄賂、在彼公庭、枉法害貧、斯時遭難、智者緘口、

祭司長、以利亞實孫、耶何耶大子、娶和倫人撒八拉女、故我逐之、

強者任其得土、尊者聽其得廬、

祭司諸長長老唆眾、求釋巴拉巴、滅耶穌、方伯謂眾曰、二人中、欲我釋誰、曰、巴拉巴、彼拉多曰、然則所稱基督之耶穌、何以處之、眾曰、釘之十字架、方伯曰、彼行何惡耶、眾愈呼曰、釘之十字架、彼拉多見言之無益、愈以生亂、乃於眾前、取水盥手、曰、流此義人之血、非我罪也、爾眾當之、庶民對曰、其血歸我及子孫矣、由是釋巴拉巴、鞭耶穌、發之釘十字架、○

此後吾不以貌視人、雖曾以貌視基督、今不復如此視之、

諸牧伯奏王曰、斯人所言、邑中武士百姓、無不喪膽、以若所云、於民不利、可殺之。西底家王曰、權操諸爾、王莫能禦焉。

摩西曰、以色列之上帝耶和華曰、眾必繫刀於腰、出入營門、殺其兄弟、友朋鄰里。

昔有廣廈、以藏禮物器皿、芬芳之品、及利未人謳歌者司閽者所收百穀之什一、新製之油、始熟之酒、與祭司之所得、今治理殿宇之祭司以利亞實、與多比聯為姻婭、灑掃斯室以居彼。

西底家王告耶利米曰、猶大人已先歸誠於迦勒底人、我甚恐、若彼委我於猶大人、使凌辱予、則奈何。

畏威而不敢赴義、必陷乎罪、畏耶和華者必得護衛。

國有常例、不蒙君召、擅入深宮覲王者、無論男女、殺無赦、惟王舉金杖、則可保命、臣工億兆咸知之、我未蒙召、已三旬矣。

況乎上帝、貧富尊卑、視同一體、皆其所造者乎。

長於作惡、牧伯士師、俱索賄賂、大人所謀不軌、黨同為非、

中心籌畫、責諸伯世職、曰、爾貸同宗金、權子母、果何為乎、我集會眾、

與米田女同戮之以色列人、屬西面族中最著者、撒路子心哩。被誅之女、屬米田族中最著者、牧伯蘇耳之女、哥斯庇。○

無罪而就死地、爾其拯之。勿諉曰不知、鑒察人心、保爾生命者、莫不悉爾隱微、彼豈不視人所行、而加賞罰。

今爾居尊位、意者將使爾保全我族、未可知也、如爾竟無一言、必有他人援手、恐爾與全家、卒見剿滅耳。
