如我有此、自思大眾必驚恐我、宗族必藐視我、凌辱我、使我蒙羞緘口、不敢出門、

因惧怕大众，又因宗族藐视我使我惊恐，以致闭口无言，杜门不出；

我若因大大惧怕众人，又因宗族的藐视而恐惧，以致我缄默不言，闭门不出；

我若因大大惧怕众人，又因宗族的藐视而恐惧，以致我缄默不言，闭门不出；

因惧怕群众，被族人藐视，就默不作声、不敢出门？

因为我惧怕群众，宗族的藐视又使我惊恐，以致我静默不言，足不出门。

因懼怕蜂擁的眾人，又因宗族的藐視驚嚇我，以致我靜止不動，閉門不出；

因畏大眾、懼宗族之藐視、以致緘口、杜門不出、

如我若此、則必戰慄於眾前、為戚族所藐視、緘口無詞、杜門不出。

because I so feared the crowd and so dreaded the contempt of the clans that I kept silent and would not go outside—

I was never afraid of the crowd. I never worried that my relatives might hate me. I didn’t have to keep quiet or stay inside.

because I stood in great fear of the multitude, and the contempt of families terrified me, so that I kept silence, and did not go out of doors—

Have I feared the crowd or the contempt of the masses, so that I kept quiet and stayed indoors?

because I greatly feared the crowds and because the contempt of the clans terrified me, so I grew silent and would not go outside?

毋隨眾為惡、有爭訟、毋徇眾為證、屈枉正直、

爾以為有勢者方可得土地、位尊者方可居之、

祭司諸長及長老唆眾、求釋巴拉巴而滅耶穌、方伯謂眾曰、二人中欲我釋誰、眾曰、巴拉巴、彼拉多曰、然則稱基督之耶穌、我何以處之、眾曰、釘之十字架、方伯曰、彼行何惡乎、眾愈呼曰、釘之十字架、彼拉多見言之無益、愈以生亂、乃取水在眾前盥手、曰、流此義人之血、非我之罪、爾自當之、眾民對曰、其血歸我及我子孫、於是彼拉多循眾所求、釋巴拉巴、鞭耶穌、付之釘十字架、○

故此後我不以外貌認人、雖曾以外貌認基督、今後不復如此認之、

先是祭司以利雅實、司我天主殿之庫房者、與多比雅聯姻、或作先是祭司以利雅實使多比雅同族人司我天主殿之庫房為多比雅備一巨房、昔時素祭物、乳香、器皿、及利未人、謳歌者、守門者、所得什一之榖、酒、油、並祭司所得舉獻之禮物、俱藏其房中、斯時、我不在耶路撒冷、蓋巴比倫王亞達薛西三十二年、我返王所、越時未久、蒙王之許復往耶路撒冷、既至耶路撒冷、乃知以利雅實為多比雅在天主殿之院內、備房之惡事、我甚不悅、以多比雅之家具、拋於房外、

西底家王謂耶利米曰、有猶大人已降迦勒底人、我恐迦勒底人付我於彼之手、使彼凌辱我、

畏人過甚、必陷網羅、惟恃主者必得護衛、

王之一切臣僕、及王各州之民眾、皆知有常例、不蒙王命、擅入內院覲王者、無論男女、必殺無赦、惟王向之舉金圭、則可保命、我未蒙王召、已三旬矣、

況天主哉、不偏視王公、不異待貧富、蓋皆其手所造、

長者或作牧伯伸手索賄、以非為是、或作手皆行惡且盡力行之長者索賄士師審判求利、大夫所言惟私慾、彼此聯絡為非、若編繩索、

中心籌畫、遂責顯者及民長曰、爾取利於同族乎、乃招集大會以斥之、

與米甸女同見殺之以色列人名心利、乃撒路子、西緬支派中一族長、被殺之米甸女名哥斯比、乃米甸族長蘇珥之女、○

被曳於死地者、爾當拯之、將見殺戮者、爾不可不救護、爾若諉曰、此我所不知、爾當思鑒察人心者必明曉、保爾生命者必洞悉、必按人所行者施報於人、

此時、爾若緘默不言、猶大人或自他處得解脫救援、爾與爾父家必皆滅亡、其時難保爾仍居后位、或作爾居后位正為欲爾救我族今日之難亦未可知爾若緘默不言猶大人或自他處得解脫救援爾與父家必皆滅亡
