What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?

我以為如有此、天主起而訊鞫、我將若何、天主若察問、我何以答之、

what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to account?

Then what will I do when God opposes me? What answer will I give him when he asks me to explain myself?

what then shall I do when God rises up? When he makes inquiry, what shall I answer him?

how could I face God? What could I say when he questioned me?

what could I do when God stands up to judge? How should I answer him when he calls me to account?

What then could I do when God arises? And when He calls me to account, how am I to answer Him?

What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him?

then what will I do when God confronts me in judgment; when he intervenes, how will I respond to him?

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

For[ he is] not a man, as I[ am, that] I should answer him,[ and] we should come together in judgment.

Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require[ it].Thou hast seen[ it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite[ it] with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil[ man]: seek out his wickedness[ till] thou find none.

Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

The best of them[ is] as a brier: the most upright[ is sharper] than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen[ and] thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me[ to] the judgment[ that] thou hast commanded.

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation[ which] shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.

When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know[ it]: the prophet[ is] a fool, the spiritual man[ is] mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
