今也年少於我者姍笑我、若輩之父、我曾藐視、不欲列之於守羊之犬中、

越至於今、年少於我者、反加訕笑、彼之父兄、自我視之、比之守羊之犬、不若也。

今也年少於我者訕笑我、其人之祖父、自我視之、不堪與守我群羊之犬同處、

“ But now they mock me, men younger than I, whose fathers I would have disdained to put with my sheep dogs.

“ But now those who are younger than I am make fun of me. I wouldn’t even put their parents with my sheep dogs!

“ But now they laugh at me, men who are younger than I, whose fathers I would have disdained to set with the dogs of my flock.

“ But now I am mocked by people younger than I, by young men whose fathers are not worthy to run with my sheepdogs.

But now they mock me, men younger than I am, whose fathers I would have refused to put with my sheep dogs.

“ But now those who are younger than I mock me, Whose fathers I refused to put with the dogs of my flock.

“ But now they mock at me, men younger than I, Whose fathers I disdained to put with the dogs of my flock.

But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, Whose fathers I disdained to set with the dogs of my flock.

我這求告上帝並蒙祂應允的人竟成了朋友的笑柄，我這公義純全的人竟成了笑柄。

對他們說：「你們帶這個人來，指控祂煽動百姓造反，我當著你們的面審問了祂，卻查不出祂有任何你們指控祂的罪。

他們給祂穿上紫袍，用荊棘編成王冠戴在祂頭上，向祂行禮，並喊著說：「猶太人的王萬歲！」他們用葦稈打祂的頭，向祂吐唾沫，跪拜祂。戲弄完了，就脫去祂的紫袍，給祂穿上原來的衣服，押祂出去釘十字架。

有幾個人向祂吐唾沫，蒙上祂的眼睛，揮拳打祂，嘲笑祂說：「你說預言吧！」衛兵押祂下去時，也打祂。

我遭遇患難時，他們卻聚在一起幸災樂禍，合夥誹謗我。素不相識的人也群起攻擊我，不住地譭謗我。他們肆無忌憚地嘲弄我，咬牙切齒地憎惡我。

那些不信主的猶太人卻妒火中燒，他們召集了一群市井無賴，在城裡引發騷亂，闖進耶孫的家企圖把保羅和西拉揪出來示眾。

以利沙從那裡去伯特利，正在趕路的時候，從城裡出來一群少年譏笑他說：「禿頭，上去吧！禿頭，上去吧！」

百姓站著觀看，官長嘲笑耶穌說：「祂救了別人，如果祂是上帝所選立的基督，讓祂救自己吧！」

跟耶穌同釘十字架的一個罪犯也譏笑耶穌，說：「你不是基督嗎？救你自己和我們呀！」

我成了街談巷議的話題，醉漢作歌取笑我。

這時，眾人齊聲呼喊：「殺掉祂！釋放巴拉巴！」

克里特人自己的一位先知說：「克里特人說謊成性，邪惡如獸，好吃懶做。」

「祂使我的弟兄遠離我，我的熟人完全背棄我。我的親屬離開我，我的摯友忘記我。我的客人和婢女都視我如陌路，把我當作外族人。我呼喚僕人，他卻不回應；我哀求他，他也不理睬。我妻子厭惡我的氣息，我的手足都嫌棄我。連小孩子都鄙視我；我一出現，他們就嘲笑我。我的密友都憎惡我，我愛的人也反對我。

青年看見我便迴避，老人也起身肅立；王侯都停止講話，用手掩口；權貴都靜默無聲，舌頭緊貼上膛。

百姓將彼此欺凌，鄰居互相爭鬥，少年目無尊長，卑賤者欺尊犯上。
