與那些為自己重建荒涼之處，地上的君王和謀士在一起；

與世上的君王和謀臣作伴——他們建造的宮殿已荒廢，

與世上那些為自己建造陵墓的君王和謀士同睡，

跟地上的君王和謀士、跟為自己造荒陵的同安息，

與為己重建邱墟之君相同在、

國王議士、當年所築之陵墓、而今安在。元戎巨富、金銀充棟、而今烏有、我欲與之同歸於盡。

世間君王卿相、卿相或作義士為己建陵墓、彼皆死亡、我亦與之相同、

Those who trust in their wealth And boast in the abundance of their riches?No one can by any means redeem another Or give God a ransom for him—For the redemption of his soul is priceless, And he should cease imagining forever—That he might live on eternally, That he might not undergo decay.For he sees that even wise people die; The foolish and the stupid alike perish And leave their wealth to others.

And you were filled and were very glorious In the heart of the seas.“ Your rowers have brought you Into great waters; The east wind has broken you In the heart of the seas.Your wealth, your wares, your merchandise, Your seamen and your sailors, Your repairers of leaks, your dealers in merchandise, And all your men of war who are in you, With all your contingent that is in your midst, Will fall into the heart of the seas On the day of your overthrow.At the sound of the cry of your sailors, The pasture lands will shake.All who handle the oar, The seamen and all the sailors of the sea Will come down from their ships; They will stand on the land,And they will make their voice heard over you And cry out bitterly. They will throw dust on their heads, They will wallow in ashes.Also they will shave themselves bald for you And put on sackcloth; And they will weep for you in bitterness of soul With bitter mourning.Moreover, in their wailing they will take up a song of mourning for you And sing a song of mourning over you:‘ Who is like Tyre, Like her who is silent in the midst of the sea?

For I know that You will bring me to death, And to the house of meeting for all living.

He makes advisers walk barefoot And makes fools of judges.

Woe to those who attach house to house and join field to field, Until there is no more room, And you alone are a landowner in the midst of the land!

Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain the wind, nor authority over the day of death; and there is no military discharge in the time of war, and evil will not save those who practice it.

Like sheep they sink down to Sheol; Death will be their shepherd; And the upright will rule over them in the morning, And their form shall be for Sheol to consume So that they have no lofty home.
