“ Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined.

『因為出銀子總有礦，煉金子也有一定地方。

銀有穴可尋、鍊金有處可得、

There is a mine for silver and a place where gold is refined.

There are mines where silver is found. There are places where gold is purified.

“ Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold that they refine.

“ People know where to mine silver and how to refine gold.

Surely there is a mine for silver and a place where gold is refined.

“ Certainly there is a mine for silver And a place for refining gold.

“ Surely there is a mine for silver, And a place where gold is refined.

Surely there is a mine for silver, And a place for gold which they refine.

Surely there is a mine for silver and a place where gold is refined.

Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold[ where] they fine[ it].

“ Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.

So I have made every effort to provide what is needed for the temple of my God, including the gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, as well as a large amount of onyx, settings of antimony and other stones, all kinds of precious stones, and alabaster.Now, to show my commitment to the temple of my God, I donate my personal treasure of gold and silver to the temple of my God, in addition to all that I have already supplied for this holy temple.This includes 3,000 talents of gold from Ophir and 7,000 talents of refined silver for overlaying the walls of the buildings,for gold and silver items, and for all the work of the craftsmen. Who else wants to contribute to the LORD today?”

Solomon also made all these items for the LORD’s temple: the gold altar, the gold table on which was kept the Bread of the Presence,the pure gold lampstands at the entrance to the inner sanctuary( five on the right and five on the left), the gold flower-shaped ornaments, lamps, and tongs,the pure gold bowls, trimming shears, basins, pans, and censers, and the gold door sockets for the inner sanctuary( the most holy place) and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

As the crucible is for silver and the furnace is for gold, so a person is proved by the praise he receives.

Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can keep standing when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.He will act like a refiner and purifier of silver and will cleanse the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will offer the LORD a proper offering.

Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Look, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have purified you in the furnace of misery.

The crucible is for refining silver and the furnace is for gold, likewise the LORD tests hearts.

All of King Solomon’s cups were made of gold, and all the household items in the Palace of the Lebanon Forest were made of pure gold. There were no silver items, for silver was not considered very valuable in Solomon’s time.

The name of the first is Pishon; it runs through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.( The gold of that land is pure; pearls and lapis lazuli are also there).

“ Hear me, my lord. The land is worth 400 pieces of silver, but what is that between me and you? So bury your dead.”

The LORD’s words are absolutely reliable. They are as untainted as silver purified in a furnace on the ground, where it is thoroughly refined.

After the camels had finished drinking, the man took out a gold nose ring weighing a beka and two gold bracelets weighing ten shekels and gave them to her.

Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say,‘ These are my people,’ and they will say,‘ The LORD is my God.’”
