Behold, all of you have seen it; Why then do you talk of nothing?

你们自己也都见过，为何全然变为虚妄呢？

看哪，你们自己也都见过，为何全变为这样虚妄呢？

其实你们也曾亲眼目睹，为何还讲这些虚妄之言？

你们都亲自见过，你们为什么成了这么虚妄呢？

你們自己也都見過，為何全然變為虛妄呢？

看哪，你們自己也都見過，為何全變為這樣虛妄呢？

看哪，你們自己也都見過，為何全變為這樣虛妄呢？

其實你們也曾親眼目睹，為何還講這些虛妄之言？

你們都親自見過，你們為甚麼成了這麼虛妄呢？

看哪、你們自己也都見過，為甚麼你們全變為虛妄呢？

爾皆見此、何故成為虛妄、

爾曹咸知斯理、何故出此迂談。

爾曹既知之、何故出此虛誕之語、

You have all seen this yourselves. Why then this meaningless talk?

You have seen those things yourselves. So why do you continue your useless talk?

Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?

But you have seen all this, yet you say all these useless things to me.

All of you have seen this for yourselves, why do you keep up this empty talk?

Surely all of you have seen it; Why then do you behave with complete nonsense?

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; Why then are ye become altogether vain?

All of you have seen this for yourselves, why do you keep up this empty talk?

Behold, all ye yourselves have seen[ it]; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

If you yourselves have all seen this, Why in the world do you continue this meaningless talk?

Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?

Bear with me that I may speak; Then after I have spoken, you may mock me.

For I have taken all this to my heart, even to examine it all, that righteous people, wise people, and their deeds are in the hand of God. People do not know whether it will be love or hatred; anything awaits them.It is the same for all. There is one fate for the righteous and for the wicked; for the good, for the clean and the unclean; for the person who offers a sacrifice and for the one who does not sacrifice. As the good person is, so is the sinner; the one who swears an oath is just as the one who is afraid to swear an oath.This is an evil in everything that is done under the sun, that there is one fate for everyone. Furthermore, the hearts of the sons of mankind are full of evil, and insanity is in their hearts throughout their lives. Afterward they go to the dead.

“ How long will you torment me And crush me with words?These ten times you have insulted me; You are not ashamed to wrong me.

Is there no end to windy words? Or what provokes you that you answer?

There is futility which is done on the earth, that is, there are righteous people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the wicked. On the other hand, there are evil people to whom it happens according to the deeds of the righteous. I say that this too is futility.

How painful are honest words! But what does your argument prove?Do you intend to rebuke my words, When the words of one in despair belong to the wind?You would even cast lots for the orphans, And barter over your friend.Now please look at me, And see if I am lying to your face.Please turn away, let there be no injustice; Turn away, my righteousness is still in it.

But you smear me with lies; You are all worthless physicians.Oh that you would be completely silent, And that it would become your wisdom!Please hear my argument, And give your attention to the contentions of my lips.Will you speak what is unjust for God, And speak what is deceitful for Him?Will you show partiality for Him? Will you contend for God?Will it go well when He examines you? Or will you deceive Him as one deceives a man?

For you say,‘ Where is the house of the nobleman, And where is the tent, the dwelling places of the wicked?’Have you not asked travelers, And do you not examine their evidence?For the wicked person is spared a day of disaster; They are led away from a day of fury.

“ What a help you are to the weak! You have saved the arm without strength!What advice you have given to one without wisdom! What helpful insight you have abundantly provided!To whom have you uttered words? And whose spirit was expressed through you?

Mockers are certainly with me, And my eye gazes on their provocation.
