That alone stretcheth out the heavens, And treadeth upon the waves of the sea;
It is he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.When there were no depths, I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills was I brought forth;While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dust of the world.When he established the heavens, I was there: When he set a circle upon the face of the deep,
Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters; Who maketh the clouds his chariot; Who walketh upon the wings of the wind;Who maketh winds his messengers; Flames of fire his ministers;Who laid the foundations of the earth, That it should not be moved for ever.
Thus saith God Jehovah, he that created the heavens, and stretched them forth; he that spread abroad the earth and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
Lift up your eyes on high, and see who hath created these, that bringeth out their host by number; he calleth them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and for that he is strong in power, not one is lacking.
For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.
