『就是今日我的哀怨還是沉痛呢：我雖哀聲嘆氣，他的手仍重重責罰我。

今我之愬、謂為悖逆、而所受之譴責、甚於我之呻吟、

我心焦勞、大放厥詞、彼降重災、使我欷歔欲絕。

我苦自訴、至今猶視為悖逆、或作我辨白至今覺苦甚我受之譴責、甚於我之歎息、

“ Even today my problems are more than I can handle. In spite of my groans, God’s hand is heavy on me.

“ Today also my complaint is bitter; my hand is heavy on account of my groaning.

“ My complaint today is still a bitter one, and I try hard not to groan aloud.

Even to- day is my complaint rebellious: My stroke is heavier than my groaning.

“ I loathe my very life; therefore I will give free rein to my complaint and speak out in the bitterness of my soul.

I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

“ Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom has two sides. Know this: God has even forgotten some of your sin.

My heart meditated and my spirit asked:“ Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”
