Even to day[ is] my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.

『就是今日我的哀怨還是沉痛呢：我雖哀聲嘆氣，他的手仍重重責罰我。

今我之愬、謂為悖逆、而所受之譴責、甚於我之呻吟、

我心焦勞、大放厥詞、彼降重災、使我欷歔欲絕。

我苦自訴、至今猶視為悖逆、或作我辨白至今覺苦甚我受之譴責、甚於我之歎息、

“ Even today my problems are more than I can handle. In spite of my groans, God’s hand is heavy on me.

My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.My soul hath[ them] still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that[ they are] double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee[ less] than thine iniquity[ deserveth].

Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth[ his] promise fail for evermore?Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?
