耶穌說：「我的食物就是遵行差我來者的旨意，做成他的工。

你的言語在我上膛何等甘美，在我口中比蜜更甜！

耶和華－萬軍之神啊，我得着你的言語就當食物吃了；你的言語是我心中的歡喜快樂，因我是稱為你名下的人。

耶和華的道理潔淨，存到永遠；耶和華的典章真實，全然公義－都比金子可羨慕，且比極多的精金可羨慕；比蜜甘甜，且比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜。

耶穌說：「我有食物吃，是你們不知道的。」

你當領受他口中的教訓，將他的言語存在心裏。

我將你的話藏在心裏，免得我得罪你。

所以，我愛你的命令勝於金子，更勝於精金。

耶穌對信他的猶太人說：「你們若常常遵守我的道，就真是我的門徒；

堅固門徒的心，勸他們恆守所信的道；又說：「我們進入神的國，必須經歷許多艱難。」

從此，他門徒中多有退去的，不再和他同行。耶穌就對那十二個門徒說：「你們也要去嗎？」西門‧彼得回答說：「主啊，你有永生之道，我們還歸從誰呢？我們已經信了，又知道你是神的聖者。」

在他想不到的日子，不知道的時辰，那僕人的主人要來，重重地處治他，定他和不忠心的人同罪。

我因沒有違棄那聖者的言語，就仍以此為安慰，在不止息的痛苦中還可踴躍。

主說：「誰是那忠心有見識的管家，主人派他管理家裏的人，按時分糧給他們呢？

只是義人必因信得生。他若退後，我心裏就不喜歡他。我們卻不是退後入沉淪的那等人，乃是有信心以致靈魂得救的人。

就要愛慕那純淨的靈奶，像才生的嬰孩愛慕奶一樣，叫你們因此漸長，以致得救。
