耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，完成祂的工作。

你的话语品尝起来何等甘甜，在我口中胜过蜂蜜。

万军之上帝耶和华啊，我把你的话视为甘饴，它们是我心中的快乐和喜悦，因为我属于你的名下。

要以纯洁的心敬畏耶和华，直到永远；耶和华的法令可靠，全然公义。这些比纯金还宝贵，比蜂房的蜜更甘甜。

耶稣说：“我有食物吃，是你们不知道的。”

你要接受祂的教诲，把祂的话谨记在心。

我把你的话珍藏在心中，免得我得罪你。

我爱你的命令胜于爱金子，胜于爱纯金。

耶稣对信祂的犹太人说：“你们若持守我的道，就真是我的门徒了。

坚固各地门徒的信心，鼓励他们要持守信仰，并且说：“我们在进入上帝国的道路上必经历许多苦难。”

从此，很多门徒离开了，不再跟从耶稣。于是耶稣问那十二个门徒：“你们也要离开我吗？”西门·彼得答道：“主啊！你有永生之道，我们还跟从谁呢？我们已经相信并且知道你是上帝的圣者。”

主人会在他想不到的日子、不知道的时辰回来，严厉地惩罚他，使他和不忠不信的人同受严刑。

这样，我还能感到欣慰，在残酷的痛苦中雀跃，因我没有违背圣者之言。

主说：“谁是那个受主人委托管理家中大小仆役、按时分粮食给他们、又忠心又精明的管家呢？

属我的义人必靠信心而活。他若畏缩退后，我必不喜悦他。”但我们都不是退后走向灭亡的人，而是因为有信心而灵魂得救的人。

就要像初生的婴儿一样渴慕纯净的灵奶，好不断成长，直到完全得救。
