But he knows every step I take. When he has tested me, I’ll come out as pure as gold.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tried me, I shall come out as gold.

“ But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.

Yet he knows the way I have taken; when he has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.

But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.

But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.

But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

But he knows the pathway that I take; if he tested me, I would come forth like gold.

Your troubles have come in order to prove that your faith is real. Your faith is worth more than gold. That’s because gold can pass away even when fire has made it pure. Your faith is meant to bring praise, honor and glory to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ returns.

Blessed is the person who keeps on going when times are hard. After they have come through hard times, this person will receive a crown. The crown is life itself. The Lord has promised it to those who love him.

I will put this third in the fire. I will make them as pure as silver. I will test them like gold. They will call out to me. And I will answer them. I will say,‘ They are my people.’ And they will say,‘ The Lord is our God.’ ”

My brothers and sisters, you will face all kinds of trouble. When you do, think of it as pure joy.Your faith will be tested. You know that when this happens it will produce in you the strength to continue.And you must allow this strength to finish its work. Then you will be all you should be. You will have everything you need.

Lord, you have seen what is in my heart. You know all about me.You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know what I’m thinking even though you are far away.You know when I go out to work and when I come back home. You know exactly how I live.

God, you have tested us. You put us through fire to make us like silver.

Fire tests silver, and heat tests gold. But the Lord tests our hearts.

Look deep down into my heart. Study me carefully at night and test me. You won’t find anything wrong. I have planned nothing evil. My mouth has not said sinful things.

But now reach out your hand and strike down everything he has. Then I’m sure he will speak evil things against you. In fact, he’ll do it right in front of you.”The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing everything he has over to you. But do not touch the man himself.” Then Satan left the Lord and went on his way.

But who can live through the day when he comes? Who will be left standing when he appears? He will be like a fire that makes things pure. He will be like soap that makes things clean.He will act like one who makes silver pure. And he will purify the Levites, just as gold and silver are purified with fire. Then these men will bring proper offerings to the Lord.

Abraham had faith. So when God tested him, Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice. Abraham had held on tightly to the promises. But he was about to offer his one and only son.

But God’s solid foundation stands firm. Here is the message written on it.“ The Lord knows who his own people are.”( Numbers 16:5) Also,“ All who say they believe in the Lord must turn away from evil.”

But now reach out your hand and strike his flesh and bones. Then I’m sure he will speak evil things against you. In fact, he’ll do it right in front of you.”The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing him over to you. But you must spare his life.”

The Lord watches over the lives of godly people. But the lives of sinful people will lead to their death.

“ Lord, please remember how faithful I’ve been to you. I’ve lived the way you wanted me to. I’ve served you with all my heart. I’ve done what is good in your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

My ears had heard about you. But now my own eyes have seen you.So I hate myself. I’m really sorry for what I said about you. That’s why I’m sitting in dust and ashes.”After the Lord finished speaking to Job, he spoke to Eliphaz the Temanite. He said,“ I am angry with you and your two friends. You have not said what is true about me, as my servant Job has.So now get seven bulls and seven rams. Go to my servant Job. Then sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you. And I will accept his prayer. I will not punish you for saying the foolish things you said. You have not said what is true about me, as my servant Job has.”

Jesus spoke to him a third time. He asked,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter felt bad because Jesus asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He answered,“ Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my sheep.

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way. He guided you in the desert for these 40 years. He wanted to take your pride away. He wanted to test you to know what was in your hearts. He wanted to see whether you would obey his commands.

I have chosen him. He must direct his children to live in the way that pleases me. And he must direct the members of his family after him to do the same. So he must guide all of them in doing what is right and fair. Then I, the Lord, will do for Abraham what I have promised him.”
