You demanded security from your relatives for no reason; you stripped people of their clothing, leaving them naked.

You took clothes away from your relatives just because they owed you some money. You left them naked for no reason at all.

For you have exacted pledges of your brothers for nothing and stripped the naked of their clothing.

“ For example, you must have lent money to your friend and demanded clothing as security. Yes, you stripped him to the bone.

For you took collateral from your brothers without cause, stripping off their clothes and leaving them naked.

For you have seized pledges from your brothers without cause, And stripped people naked.

你果真拿了邻舍的外衣作抵押，也要在日落前还给他；

亏负困苦和贫穷的人，抢夺别人的物件，不归还抵押品，却向偶像举目，做可憎的事；

也未曾亏负人，未曾取人的抵押品，未曾抢夺人的物件，却把食物给饥饿的人吃，把衣服给赤身的人穿，

他们拉走孤儿的驴，强取寡妇的牛作抵押。

又有人从母怀中抢走孤儿，在困苦人身上强取抵押品。困苦人赤身无衣，到处流浪，饿着肚子扛抬禾捆，

“你借给邻舍，无论是什么，不可进他家拿抵押品。要站在外面，等那借贷的人把抵押品拿出来交给你。他若是困苦的人，你不可用他的抵押品盖着睡觉。日落的时候，总要把抵押品还给他，让他用那件外衣盖着睡觉，他就为你祝福。这在耶和华—你的上帝面前就是你的义行了。“困苦贫穷的雇工，无论是你的弟兄，或是住在你境内，在你城里寄居的，你都不可欺负他。要当日给他工钱，不可等到日落，因为他困苦，需要靠工钱过活，免得他因你的缘故求告耶和华，罪就归于你了。“不可因儿子处死父亲，也不可因父亲处死儿子；各人要因自己的罪被处死。“不可对寄居的和孤儿屈枉正直，也不可拿寡妇的衣服作抵押。要记得你曾在埃及作过奴仆，耶和华—你的上帝从那里救赎了你，所以我吩咐你遵行这事。

“不可拿人的石磨或上面的磨石作抵押，因为这是拿人的命作抵押。

我若见人因无衣死亡，或见贫穷人毫无遮盖；我若不使他真心为我祝福，不使他因我羊的毛得暖；

他们在各祭坛旁边，躺卧在人所典当的衣服上，又在他们上帝的殿里喝受罚之人的酒。

未曾亏负人，而是将欠债之人的抵押品还给他；未曾抢夺人的物件，却把食物给饥饿的人吃，把衣服给赤身的人穿；
