有罪之民、爾其援之、因爾自潔、使彼免於患難。

人非無辜、天主猶拯之、爾若手潔、更蒙救援、

He’ll even save those who are guilty. He’ll save them because your hands are clean.”

After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite,“ I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.”

The Lord said,“ If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”Then Abraham spoke up again:“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five people?”“ If I find forty- five there,” he said,“ I will not destroy it.”Once again he spoke to him,“ What if only forty are found there?” He said,“ For the sake of forty, I will not do it.”Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”Abraham said,“ Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” He said,“ For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.”Then he said,“ May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered,“ For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.”

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.

“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.

and said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’

One day the evil spirit answered them,“ Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked,“ Why couldn’t we drive it out?”He replied,“ Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,‘ Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

“ Now plead with God to be gracious to us. With such offerings from your hands, will he accept you?”— says the Lord Almighty.

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!

Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.

The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
